I recently stayed at Arrowtown Holiday Park for 4 nights and was deeply disappointed by the state of the facilities. The bathrooms had black dotted stains and rust, which clearly indicated a lack of proper maintenance. While I understand that some wear and tear is inevitable, this was far beyond what should be acceptable for paying guests.
Even more concerning, the linen provided in our accommodation had blood stains on it, which is a major hygiene issue and completely unacceptable. This left us feeling uncomfortable and concerned about the cleanliness of the entire property.
In addition to the unsightly stains and rust, I also noticed fiberglass tape used as a repair in several areas. This is not an appropriate solution for the issues at hand, and it raised further concerns about the quality of maintenance and whether proper repair procedures were being followed.
When I raised these concerns at reception, I was met with a lack of empathy and no apology. I was told I would need to wait until 11 AM for the manager, as they were not on-site at the time. However, due to our travel plans, we couldn't stay until then and decided to leave the premises.
I then called the manager to discuss the issues further, but the conversation did not go well at all. Once again, no apology was offered, and instead, I was told I was being rude for raising the issue. The manager's response was dismissive, even telling me that if I didn’t like the situation, I could simply pack up and leave. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of customer care was incredibly frustrating. I certainly didn’t expect to spend my vacation sorting out these issues.
Also, a word of caution: the photos on the website do not accurately reflect the current state of the bathrooms. What you see in the pictures is outdated, and the actual condition may not meet your expectations.
I understand things can sometimes go wrong, but the lack of accountability, coupled with the unhelpful attitude from both reception and the manager, left me feeling disrespected. No effort was made to offer compensation or even a basic apology.
I’m sharing this review in hopes that others are aware of the conditions and service at this holiday park. I would not recommend staying here unless you’re comfortable with these cleanliness issues and poor...

Read moreDO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE OUT OF YOUR SITE DURING YOUR STAY IN THIS PARK, THEY MIGHT SELL IT TO OTHER CUSTOMERS!
On the 3rd and 4th of February 2024, me and my girlfriend booked a powered site at Hampshire Holiday Park for our stay. Due to our late arrival after office hours on the 3rd, we followed the procedure of obtaining a late arrival card from outside the office.
However, on the morning of the 4th, when we temporarily left the site for a hiking trip and returned at 7 pm, we were shocked to find that our site had been taken by another vehicle. Despite attempting to contact the management, we were unable to reach them as their office hours only extended until 6 pm, contrary to the information provided on their website, which indicated office hours until 8 pm during peak times.
Upon returning on the 5th of February to inquire about the situation, the management informed us that they had sold our site to another customer because they claimed we did not show up on the 3rd of February. They justified this action by stating that they did not see our car on the site on the 3rd and proceeded to sell the site to others without any attempt to contact us or provide a refund.
This experience has been truly disappointing and unacceptable. It is evident that Hampshire Holiday Park's management lacks professionalism and accountability. Selling booked sites without proper communication and refusing to issue refunds demonstrates a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and fair...
