Dive Rakiura - Snorkeling Tours — Attraction in Southland

I loved my day out with Ollie and Dive Rakiura! I usually SCUBA dive so a free diving tour was new for me—I had a wonderful time. I was so surprised to find that my day out with Ollie was some of the best diving I've had in NZ, despite having hit all the famous spots. Ollie tailors the experience to the group which was awesome and I can't recommend enough! The other tour folks bailed so it was just me for the day which was amazing! I really appreciated the free diving tips including a few to help get the right angle for photos when free diving! I will definitely be back to Stewart Island for more :) (and to hunt...

We had a wonderful experience freediving with Ollie at Te Wharawhara marine reserve last week. I’m a former scuba instructor (Padi MSDT 1200+ logged dives) and I was really pleased with Ollie’s attentive and organised approach to running his trips. The kelp forests are magical, teeming with life and in great condition, so participating in a tour where the operator is passionate about them makes it so good. Water was cool and clear but nice and warm in the thick wetsuits - gear was great! Highly recommend you visit the underwater world of Stewart Island with Dive Rakiura and Ollie! We had an amazing time with these two guys! Very passionate, professionals, and keen to share their love for ocean. The material provided is great, I am a cold person and they gave me two hoddies plus the big wetsuit, that was perfect (water was 14 degrees C). The place we dive into was an awesome place full of marine life (octopus, paua, carpet shark, blue cod,etc.) and colorful. Of course you can't expect to see all of those animals because this is nature ... but I really recommend to go snorkeling with Ollie and...
