Took our 6 month old puppy to the dog park for a run around. Good sized area for dogs to run, play and exercise in though there are quite a few holes about dug by the four legged attendees. Not a major worry and the dogs seem to avoid them but a bit of a hazard. Fully enclosed and a double gate to get in so pretty secure and there are trees offering some shade. Plenty of space to roam and poo bags were available. Some dog agility equipment would be a great addition but still nice to have somewhere to let the pup off lead. Will be back again soon.

Bomb Point Dog Park is one of limited number of fully-fenced dog parks in Auckland. The size is large enough and there is plenty of space to run. It is great that there's a rubbish bin and dog poo bags provided within the park. While there's work being done on providing a source of drinkable water, at this point in time I recommend you bring water for your pup when you visit.

Such a great fully enclosed spot!! Worth the 30minute drive for us!! Perfect for my husky to get out her energy! 🐺 Highly recommend to bring your own water! Bowls are there..but no water access. Great gate system too!

We take our dog Pepsi here most days and he loves it! There is a heap of room for him to stretch his legs and zoom around, a few shady spots and some seating with nice views while you watch the pups play too.

There are quite a few large holes and ditches caused by rabbits and inquisitive dogs which are becoming a bit of an ankle-roll hazard for both dogs and humans - so best to watch where you’re stepping at times.

There are a few water bowls available too but you need to bring your own water for them. It would be great to have some form of water tap for the bowls (similar to Meola Reef Dog Park in Point Chev).

There is also a box of communal toys, however these tend to get destroyed pretty quickly ! Would be awesome to have some obstacles or agility stations for some variety.

Overall we find this park is the perfect place to bring Pepsi to run around and socialise and meet up with his regular...

A great hidden gem, particularly if you don't want to lose your dog in a large dog park like Sanders. Its a nice size for dogs still learning recall. If your a regular you end up making some great acquaintances as your dogs play. It's a very basic park. It could do with some TLC, a little face lift and slightly smaller holes fencing wise (might not be suitable for toy type dogs) BYO water as there is no tap. But it's also got a lovely walk along the water to complete your loop. Only major complaint is the poop bin needs to be emptied more regularly as it is overflowing a lot of the time. Some obstacles would...

This dog park is an insult to both dogs and humans. It presents itself as an afterthought - hmmm, what shall we do with this spare land? Once one figures out the gate mechanism, one is faced with a space that is of strange proportions as well as small. The potholes caused the dog to trip up. If there are any owners out there who cannot control their dogs, be warned - if one of these approaches your dog, and kicks off: you may well be trapped in a very confined location with limited space. I give one star for the dog bags on site. Can't say where the water in the dog bowl came from, or when...
