This is my first time visiting the Saturday/Sunday morning market at Hobsonville. I went with my partner for a morning date to enjoy coffee and breakfast, and it was worth it. Parking was a bit challenging, but the place was easy to find. The entrance stairs were beautiful, and the view of the bay was stunning. There were many couples and families with kids walking their dogs and enjoying coffee.
Inside, there were plenty of food options. Our main goal was to try the famous Egg Tart (Portuguese Tart), and we loved it - there was a queue at the entrance of the bakery café. After the egg tarts and coffees, we tried several other food options: Pork skewers with sticky rice and Vietnamese noodles. I enjoyed having them in this market.

Read moreThis local market opens usually from Wed - Sun for you to pick up your fresh grown farmed produce, butcher on sight, alternative and organic options, desert and all sorts of great things to fill your fridge and pantry with.
Pop down on the weekend and you'll be engulfed with the full weekend buzz with music, more vendors and the great ocean breeze from Catalina Bay!
There is something for everyone, from your little humans to fluffy family members, and if you have dietary requirements, don't sweat as many of the vendors there have options for you to try.
Pop down on a sunny day and if it rains, you'll be in luck as the market is also an indoor venue.
Let them know I recommend you and have a great time.

There's also an intriguing stall selling Italian bread that looks delicious and reminded us of Hungarian langos, and a real fruit ice-cream shoppe with a very creamy ice-cream. It's difficult to find parking right smack next to here, though, so it might be a better idea to take the ferry over. Plenty of tables for people to sit and chat and munch, but give it a miss if you prefer farmer's markets selling fresh produce and not just stall after stall...
