When visiting Hãhei be prepared to relax while enjoying everything it has to offer. This was my first visit to Hãhei as well as it being my first solo holiday. In the middle of summer this beach town is bustling with holiday makers most with the same intentions in mind. You can choose to take a 10min walk up to the point to observe the sun rise or find you a nice spot on the cliffs or the beach to admire the sunset. About 10mins drive from Hãhei is Hot Water beach, a must to do, take a spade (you'll find these at the local dairy & the beach lodge) & your picnic with you & join the many other beach goers & start digging you a hot pool & you're bound to meet many friendly people, the best time to go is low tide. Kayaking is another activity with experienced guides that takes you around the bays to Cathedral Cove, upon reaching the Cove, the guide will treat you to a brewed tea & coffee with cookies before your paddle back. Hãhei also has a water taxi that takes you to the cove & Whitiãnga. As for the beach itself, I found the water to be tepid, nice. I recommend this little beach town to anyone who is wanting to relax & wind down from the hustle &...

Hahei Beach is a beach on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand, just south of Mercury Bay. It is approximately 12 kilometres south east of Whitianga, and approximately 175 kilometres from Auckland by car. Its name comes from underground hot springs that filter up through the sand between the high and low water tidal reaches. The beach is a popular destination both for locals and tourists visiting New Zealand. Annual visitor numbers have been estimated at 700,000, making it one of the most popular geothermal attractions in the Waikato region. Hot water springs in Hahei Beach. Within two hours either side of low tide, it is possible to dig into the sand allowing hot water to escape to the surface forming a hot water pool. The water, with a temperature as hot as 64 °C (147 °F), filters up from two underground fissures located close to each other. These natural springs can be found on the beach opposite the...

Oh, this lake is absolutely breathtaking! It's like stepping into a fairytale world. The serene waters, the picturesque surroundings... it's truly a sight to behold. 😍🌊🌳 The beauty of nature never ceases to amaze me, and this lake is a perfect example of that. The way the sunlight dances on the water's surface, creating a mesmerizing sparkle, is simply magical. The lush greenery that surrounds the lake adds an extra touch of tranquility and makes it even more captivating. It's a place where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the wonders of nature. Whether you're taking a leisurely stroll along the shore or simply sitting by the water, this lake has a way of making you feel at peace and connected to the beauty of the world around you. It's truly a gem worth...

If you only do one thing at Hahei Beach in New Zealand... It absolutely has to be watching the sunrise at Te Pare Point. Stunning views of the ocean, the town, a cool “bird island” (or creepy depending on your view of birds). This was the simplest but one of the most beautiful parts of my trip there. How to get there... Head out onto Hahei Beach and make a right. At the end of the beach you’ll find a rope swing and steps leading up. Head up and to the left, keep walking until you see the ocean. Want to see the cool picture window tree? Head right at the ocean and you’ll see the tree hanging out on the edge of the cliff. It’s a short half mile trial and perfect for sunrise! 📸:Photos and videos taken on a women’s adventure retreat with @intothewild.adventure Would you wake up early for this view?
