Large, beautifully decorated apartment with perfect amenities and great “extra” nice touches (beach towels and spades for nearby Hot Water Beach!) and a beautiful patio. Our stay was lovely and we wish we had had more time at Cathedral Cove apartment… but what made it truly special was the warm welcome and great recommendations of Ngairene and Ray, the most caring hosts. Last minute booking for our final full day traveling in NZ. Ngarinne was great to deal with and extremely pleasant. She even offered to drive us up to the Cathedral Cove trailhead. Very nice kitchen area with good separation from a large bedroom/living room space. Approximately an 8 minute walk to the beach and a 3 minute walk to the general store & restaurant area. Only downside was not being able to spend more time there. Would not hesitate...

Absolutely recommend a stay here. The apartment is lovely and spacious, with everything you need to prepare your meals, should you want to do so like we did. We loved sitting out on the sunny patio after a long day of driving. A special and BIG thank you Ray and Ngairene for letting us come back after our kayaking tour (which was canceled the previous day due to rough seas) to rinse the sand and salt off before we drove...
