Voss Folk Museum — Attraction in Voss

It is Spectacular. The entire experienced was above and beyond wonderful❤️. I foned the office and asked if there's a bus what bus how long and such, but the receptionist were so amazing to gave me a smart idea which is to walk from train station is about 25 minutes and on our way we got to enjoy the panoramic view of Voss and ser flocks of sheeps and little and farm houses so amazing . We met the very warmt welcoming receptionist and i paid nok 115 my child was free. We began touring above the reception and from therr it's like we were transported to "back in time". I recalled my childhood and started to feel my father in the moment whomn died in mid 90's. Most of the stuff they have specially inside wooden houses was that time when my father used for farming. I stood into one of entrance door feeling i was 5 years old and see my father working in the yard of all the stuff was displayed in wooden houses. I am so overwhelmed with joy. This was truly my favorite thing to do/see in Voss and maybe underrated which is why I'm writing this review. Not only is the museum filled with interesting information about the people and history of Voss but the views from the museum are one of the best in the city. I could stand there for hours admiring the breathtaking mountains. Make sure to watch the tiny videos in the walls of the extreme sports section! They depict the unrelentless character of the people in Voss. 10/10...

A fantastic museum with friendly, knowledgeable and interested staff. There is easily 3 hours worth of well presented artefacts and information, and on the day we visited, live folk music too. The quality of this museum is such that it should be full of visitors, but its position up steep roads or paths, combined with limited or even misleading road signage on the way up, meant that we practically had the place to ourselves.
