Vangen Café — Restaurant in Voss

What a wonderful cafe we found on our road trip around Norway. The food and service were outstanding! My wife and split the burger with cheese, they are huge and extremely delicious! We also shared a piece of the home made carrot cake. This cafe seemed to have a more local feel to us. My sister had an open faced burger sandwich that was more like a meatloaf than a burger. It was served cold but they did heat it up at my sisters request. The seasoning was spot on and the onions made the sandwich, that meal includes a cup of coffee. Great service and great food. Unfortunately they did not have the meatballs and the salmon which I was after. But got a menu with dessert and coffee included which I half translated from the menu board. They where super helpful and friendly in English. Food was a lot, taste was fine. Since I ordered cappuccino she only made me pay the difference with the coffee as that was included in my menu. It was almost closing time when we got to the store, but the staff was kind enough to give us the last meal we had left. The set meal includes a main dish and a cake.
