I've been here with my father earlier at aroung 12 P.M. and stumbled across the owner, Tito Manny. He was very gentle and welcoming, showed us the ways around the zoo, and everything else about it.
The zoo had this picture-taking station where they introduced three animals to us; the iguana named "Dragon", a python named "Madonna", and an Orangutan named "Marimar". Marimar was very playful and gentle, she held onto my hand and she felt human-like, like that of a person's. An unforgettable experience for sure.
I was fascinated witht the zoo because of it's wonderful and healthy animals, it was obvious they were being cared for with proper handling and they seemed happy. Read moreI was in the Malabon zoo in 2010 and there was a good variety of animals but the zoo is too small for the amount of animals. I was also a bit concerned because it seems that the tiger and other big animal cages were constructed of undersized steel bars.
Due to the small enclosures I noticed that one bear was showing signs of trauma because he was constantly going around in circles and bobbing his head all the time.
