The Church of the Gesu is located inside Ateneo de Manila University. Masses were usually held every Sunday before the pandemic for outside guests who wanted to attend but it seems like it is not open again. I was able to attend one Simbang Gabi (at night, not at dawn) for Advent of 2022 and it's nice to see that it is open again. Online masses are also available but it doesn't beat being actually there with the community. Homilis are very impactful since the priests are Jesuits.

Church of the Gesu is the only large church inside the Ateneo compound. Aside from the main mass area, there is a small hall for special mass area and some confession room. At the back is a mini-garden on a hill with a bronze Jesus statue prostrated similar to event in Gethsemane. The rooftop is like sliding right triangular pattern from the cross pinnacle. The area is generally peaceful when no mass is held.

I've been there a few times in the past years... perfect ventilation... great structure and sound system... All the events I had attended were comforting memories, especially my visit to view the urn of former president Noynoy Aquino on June 25, 2021 🕊️ 😇 🙏🙏🙏👼💐🏞️🌍

We had a fruitful and beautiful experience here. The only cons were: - the screen is located on one side so we couldn't see it - the audio was not clear where we were seated - it was hot, especially in the afternoon But overall it's a beautiful church.

University Church of the Ateneo de Manila University. There is a regular Sunday Mass here and Masses for the various schools in this campus. Contemporary in architecture and art. Most of the time an ideal place for quiet prayer and contemplation.

Solemn and beautiful place to pray. Not open to the public these days because of continuing Ateneo de Manila University's campus shutdown.
