The Hygge course meal was a mixed experience in terms of the food. Most of the food arrived not hot or warm anymore. Sadly, the main course portions were my least favorite meals of the whole course. I attached pictures below of the course menu and each dish. But the service and the atmosphere was really great, it was perfect for an intimate date and it was a good experience.
To give a more detailed description of the food from best to worse: (1) Duet of oysters - the best, as the flavor combination fit together. I would order this again. 5/5 (2) The Tuna and Inari Salad - this was good too. The tuna is cured so it has a more intense fish flavor. The dressing of the salad was really good too. 5/5 (3) Green Tea mousse - the mousse is very sweet, but the green apple lime sorbet helps cut that. Honestly the sorbet was so refreshing, I would be happy having just that for dessert. 5/5 (4) Truffle Mushroom Soup - It was good, but it came to us less than warm. But overall taste was still good, tasting as expected. The crispy portion on top becomes slimy if wet so eat it quick if you like it crispy. 4/5 (5) Foie Tart - It is a small tart to start off the course. You can taste the foie in the filling and it had a sweetness complemented that savory component, though it might have been a bit too sweet. 3.5/5 (6) Raspberry Sorbet - This was okay to cleanse the pallette. It was not as refreshing as the green apple lime sorbet though so I rated this lower. 3.5/5 (7) Pan Seared Halibut with Crab Fat Risotto - I think this would have tasted better if it came to our table hot. The Halibut and Risotto was yummy. The Halibut was crispy, which is good, but lacked seasoning. The dish did come with a sauce that was too sweet for me. The yuzu taste was overpowering and when I used it, I couldn't really taste any other flavors. 3/5 (8) US Top Blade - Sadly this dish as a whole was the worst for me. The steak itself is good and it was cooked to Medium-Rare as requested. But it was not warm anymore when it arrived. The biggest problem came with all the other components. The red wine sauce left a very bitter aftertaste that was not pleasant. The gremolata put on top of the steak was also slightly bitter and had a weird taste. And the wasabi (?) powder didn't fit well for me and the texture felt weird. I would have been happier without any of these extra components or if they were kept separate. But most of the time I had to taste them since they were part of the dish combined with the steak. Whenever I think about the taste, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. 1.5/5 In assigning the overall rating for food, I gave more weight to the main course since those are the main dishes and in consideration that they weren't hot or warm when they arrived.
For the service, I would like to say great job. They were very attentive and we didn't need to ask for refills of water or removing plates that were done. All the staff were very friendly as well despite the many customers on a fully booked day. The staff also would explain the food and its components one by one in a calm manner, so I appreciated it. Especially since some of the components of a dish were not in the menu description. One comment though is the time between each course felt too long at times. To put this in terms of time, we spent 6pm-8:45pm there when the 2nd batch was at 8pm. We got bread only at 6:20 and the first meal of the course around 6:30.
For atmosphere, this is a perfect place to have an intimate date especially if you reserve a gazebo in advance. Me and my girlfriend had a good experience and just had fun with it. Though the main course was a bit sub-par, we just talked...
Read moreExcellent experience dining into this place earlier. Food - 4 out 5 stars. Ordered the Ninyo Classics, and was amazed by most of the food, especially the Nori Pumpkin Soup and Honey Glazed Salmon. The former was flavorful and was just the right mixture of ingredients -- this was beyond compare and was definitely my favorite of the 7 course meals we've tasted. The Honey Glazed Salmon was the most tender fish dish I've ever eaten. The fish meat melts in your mouth, and the wasabi mashed potato was so soft and light that it complements the fish taste given by the salmon. The vegetables of this dish also makes each bite crunchy and textured. Lastly, the sauce ties the entire dish together -- chef's kiss! What makes my score only 4 is the steak -- it was good especially the flavor, but the meat was not as tender as I expected -- that's my main concern about it. The carrot was also too hard for my preference. Other than that, exquisite food package overall!
Service - 5 out of 5. We didn't have to wait too long for each dish. The timing was just right. Also, the staff were beyond friendly. One staff even offered to take photos of my boyfriend and me, and proceeded to direct us in taking photos all over the entire venue (as my bf and i were the first ones in the place). Also, the staff were polite, helpful, and courteous.
Ambience - 4 out of 5. The aesthetic was wonderful! My main concern that's probably more of a room for improvement would be the music. It was actually good for the feel of the place, but it would've been better if there were better songs played -- most were in italian (i think), i would've preferred several songs that I could relate to, to make the entire experience much better.
The service was so good that i think it would be an understatement for me to rate this experience as 4 only. Mind you, we only reserved a table the night before our dine-in, yet they were able to promptly accommodate us. Also, a couple, who were reserved for an outdoor table cancelled, and so we were allowed to request to be seated outdoors as well, instead of our original reservation of indoor (no more outdoor seating when we called to reserve).

Read moreWe celebrated our 27th anniversary here @ Ninyo, since my daughter saw the excellent reviews and she's the one gave us this dinner gift😊. We were excited to have this fine dining. For the positive reviews, I must say that we were thoroughly welcomed by our very enthusiastic waiter Mike. The latter was like a professional photographer and he showed us what true restaurant hospitality is. Also, they were kind to keep our reservation even though we were one hour late. The food taste above average.
Now for the not so pleasing facts: Parking was limited and the pathway going to the restaurant is not cemented. It was filled with gravel. Ladies be careful when you wall through it with stiletto heels -Not pwd/senior friendly because there were no wheelchair ramps The private bungalows were kinda dusty. The furniture and structure itself was old and may in the near future cause a safety hazard. The comfort room did not look like it belonged to a fine dining restaurant. It had no soft toilet papers but just rough paper towels. There was no separate toilet for women. I've seen cooks in the kitchen after passing by the latter with their masks down and they were not wearing gloves. -they do not accept pwd or senior cards discounts for their set menu meals no dress code, some guests were wearing shorts.
Conclusion: Overrated reviews. After my experience I will...
