Yoshimeatsu Katipunan — Restaurant in Quezon City

I went here last Saturday (Feb 27, 2021) with my gf for lunch.

Quality of meat was better than your average samgyup restaurant. It was not too chewy but it wasn't the type that would melt in your mouth.

Portions of the mains were not too intimidating or overwhelming. Each serving was easy to consume - which I like. The only disappointing part was the way they were served. It did not match the picture indicated in the menu. Also, the choices are fewer compared to most samgyup restaurants.

The sauces are not to my liking. It didn't taste as authentic.

The baked scallops were of low quality, but one wouldn't exactly complain since they only charge you for an additional peso for the unlimited scallops. Although, I suggest they put garlic instead of chili flakes to compliment the cheese.

The mushroom side dishes were an excellent surprise. They complimented the meat dishes well. We especially loved the garlic mushroom. The rest were your typical Japanese side dishes. Their sushi choices were alright.

Staff were extremely patient, respectful, and pleasant but were too disorganized. Even though the place was full of customers, having more than 4 staff, they can easily service/manage the entire room. The ordering system and delegation needs improvement. I had to reorder our items multiple times thru their QR system just to get my order. Someone has to properly expedite the customers' orders.

There is also something wrong with their air-con. The temperature fluctuates often which sometimes gives off an unpleasant eating experience in the restaurant.

It was nice seeing the owners serve the customers BUT I think it would have been better if they managed the staff instead. This way, the flow of service will be more efficient and pleasant.

All in all, it is a samgyup restaurant worth trying if you're in the area. We'll definitely eat here again soon just to see if there are any improvements.

This is the 2nd place of Yoshimeatsu We have visited. Restaurant in 2nd Floor. But, It is very difficult to go there If You have baby with Car. They make a sub way for baby car but very high slope. I tried to go with car but impossible. Car is coming back. Very dangerous. I decided to carry baby. There was Security Guard and a Promotion Man for Restaurant outside. But, none of them helped to my Wife to carry the Car while I carry baby. Restaurant is in hide place. We went through Hotel then go with Elevator. We just wait 5 minutes outside while they clean and prepare the Table. Restaurant place is very small. There are Total 8-9 Tables only and tables are very close to each other. Difficult to move especially when you have baby car with you. We start with Beef Soup. But, It was dissepointing soup. We don't like the soup and could not finish. Their Kimchi also not good. Look like old and very soft. Color also not ordinary Kimchi. Teste witb Sweet. Supposed to be sour and chilly. Their beef meat also not good. I like their Shrimp, Squid, Tuna Maki and California Maki. Their souces are not good. They charge extra 50 Peso if you order Cold Tea. Ice cream is free but in Pack like Magnum. Dont serve spoiled kimchi rice. Dont serve raw meat in table before the seat is given ask customer what they want, not all eat chicken. ( meron po kayo pos ) order dont come on the table it is usually gotten by the other table. Unsanitized table and chairs, no tong and scissor, cant bring water from outside ( what the hell ? ) paying for a 49 pesos for 1 sachet of ice tea or pineapple ( highway robbery ) they serve you small amount so you have to order and order again 😅. About the payment if your using GCASH they will give you number not QR code the hell is wrong with this resto?(sorry na lang pag hindi nakarating sa may yung pera) Floor is too shiny for oil hahahaha.
