National Shrine of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of La Naval de Manila or Santo Domingo Church in Quezon Avenue is a vast lot, massive church with rich history. This church is run by Dominican Fathers. Masses are solemn (unlike in other churches where there are running and screaming young ones). When inside, this antiquated structure gives me a deep sense of nostalgia. You can feel it within the walls, the design, the images of saints. Even coming across the priests in robes when it is dark almost gives me (holy) goosebumps. There's an area for lighting candles. Beautiful garden. Cafe Inggo within the vicinity to unwind and dine. There's always many cars but with plenty of parking. Some religious items are also sold here. It is just a bit hot inside as unlike other churches, there is no huge overhead electric fan.

Went here last week but not entirely visiting The Santo Domingo Church but the coffee shop within its compound, no less than Cafe Inggo. I was in complete surprise the moment i entered the shop. The ambiance exudes a class look kindda french type with some paintings in white, high ceiling, with some coffee books to enjoy while waiting for your order😊. The background music plus the staff are friendly and very warm just like the place. Will definitely visit this place again. The hot choco is not too sweet and just cream enough, and the suman sa lihiya with coco jam grated coconut and muscovado sugar makes it more yummy

The pomp and pageantry of the Catholic mass rituals were on full display in this evening’s mass. From the grand entrance of the priests and sacristans to the lightings and flower arrangements at the altar and that marvelous choir! If this is not a piece of heaven then I do not know what is. Never have I seen a very massive church be filled up on a Saturday vigil mass. And only now have I noticed that the Sto Domingo Church (or Our Lady of dela Naval) is very big and so conducive to prayer (not air conditioned though natural air and that coming from the numerous wall fans suffice). Have a blessed week ahead to all!

My previous visit here was before the pandemic. It's still a religious sanctuary along the hectic and snarly Quezon Avenue. The mass I attended kept within an hour which I appreciate. The grounds are pleasant to walk at and we actually managed to get a snack at Cafe Inggo while waiting for the mass. Overall, if you haven't been here, it's worth a visit. It has plenty of parking even during busy Sundays. To the Dominicans, it's time to have a repaint. Air-conditioning too, budget-permitting.

Erected in 1951, the Santo Domingo Church is also known by its formal name of National Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary. (It is also where the main convent of the Dominican priests in the Philippines is based.) The church is famous for the statue of Our Lady of La Naval de Manila, which is said to be miraculous to those who pray to her at the altar. And from people's experience, prayers are often answered differently from expectations at the proper time that only divine wisdom knows.

This is my dream wedding church! One of the biggest church I have ever been, Santo Domingo Church will always be my favorite church to pray for the Blessed Virgin Mary. I started praying through the intercession of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary-La Naval de Manila, during my College years and hopefully, I can continue this devotion, 'til I get married with my girlfriend, and build a Catholic family and breathe my last. Will go back here again as soon as possible. I miss you Nay!
