Craving Singapore in QC? Head to Shiok Shiok Banawe! If you're looking for a taste of Singapore in Quezon City, then Shiok Shiok Banawe should be on your list. This restaurant, known for its transformation from a canteen-style eatery to a fully air-conditioned and inviting space, offers a delightful array of Singaporean favorites. What to order: Start with a classic: Their SG Traditional Breakfast is available all day and features kaya toast, soft-boiled eggs, and hot milk tea. It's a perfect way to experience the simplicity and deliciousness of Singaporean morning fare. For a more substantial meal: Try the Nasi Lemak, a fragrant coconut rice dish served with fried chicken, anchovies, peanuts, egg, and sambal sauce. It's a flavorful and satisfying combination that will leave you wanting more. Noodles lovers can rejoice: The Char Kway Teow is a must-try. These stir-fried flat rice noodles are packed with flavor and come with your choice of protein like chicken, seafood, or vegetables. Don't forget to explore the "Short Orders" section: The Sambal Kang Kong (water spinach stir-fried in a spicy shrimp paste) is a great side dish, while the Satay (skewered meat grilled to perfection) is a perfect appetizer. Beyond the food: The restaurant boasts a clean and comfortable ambiance, making it a great spot for a casual catch-up with friends or family. The service is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive dining experience. Overall: Shiok Shiok Banawe offers a delicious and authentic Singaporean dining experience in Quezon City. With its diverse menu, reasonable prices, and comfortable setting, it's a restaurant worth checking out, especially if you're craving a taste of the Lion City. Here are some additional points to consider: They have a variety of drinks available, including traditional Singaporean beverages like Teh Tarik (pulled milk tea) and Kopi (coffee). While the restaurant offers air-conditioning, it can get quite busy during peak hours, so be prepared for a wait. They also have a few vegetarian options available.

Authentic Singaporean dishes for when you crave claypot rice varieties, Bak kut Teh, Laksa, Nasi Lemak , Satay, Noodles and the likes! Everything we ordered tasted really good. You can cancel that booked trip to Singapore if all that you would go for is a food trip. The area where this restaurant is at boasts of Hawker food specialties but this one may well be THE place to go amongst all. You can choose items from EAT FRESH and SHIOK-SHIOK and can cross-order with TUEN MUEN. We had PORK Combination Platter that came with Jelly Fish & Century Egg, Plain Congee, Nasi Lemak, Bak kut teh, Beef Tendon, Fried Intestines with Leeks, Chicken with Sausage and Mushroom Claypot Rice, Mango Shake, Wanton Noodles, Beef Noodles and Hakaw. Whew! The last 3 items were for take-out. Their sambal was delish and just right for a Pinoy's palate. It was just the right spicy for my taste. If you want the dishes hotter, you may ask for chili sauce to go with it. The place comes with a simple period piece interiors to add to the feels but I think the way the chatter registers quite audibly makes the experience when eating here all the more authentic. The place captures the Singaporean vibe of uncles and aunties chatting away as they eat.

We arrived here around 6:30pm and there so many customers dining which is a giveaway to how good the food here is. Our appetizer is a soup I forgot the name lol but its best seller so you'll figure it out. I love that soup, its texture, its contents love every drop of it. My favorite is the Dinosaur Milo (forgot the exact name on the menu) because it brought back my childhood haha it has been so long since I tasted Milo hahahahaha Next dish is the Ha Kao (correct if I'm wrong but anyways, I'll just edit this once I eat here again hehe) This dish is like xiaolongbao really tastes so good. For me personally, I like when the sauce is spicy; really brings out the taste and encourage you to eat more lol. Our meal was the noodles, forgot whats its called but definitely a must try. Just ask the servers what combination of sauces is best for beginner if its your first time. I added sweet sauce after I tasted their recommended combination because I like it sweet. The only problem I encountered is here the parking. If you eat here at peak hours, I wish you goodluck! haha You'll be able to park few walks away from the resto.
