I visited Pindangan Ruins on June 20, 2024. This historical place and church offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a quick stopover. The overall appearance is charming, maintaining the old church vibes, and the place is reasonably clean.
The staff we encountered were polite. As walk-in visitors, there was no formal check-in process. The primary amenity is the church itself, which provides a tranquil setting for prayer and reflection.
On-site activities include praying, candle lighting, and visiting the religious items shop.
The pros of Pindangan Ruins include its peaceful and silent environment, ideal for prayers and reflections. However, the limited parking area is a minor drawback.
Overall, my experience at Pindangan Ruins was pleasant. I would recommend it, especially to those seeking a quiet place for a quick prayer. It's also a nice side trip for people traveling to San Juan, La Union, particularly if...

The Pindangan Ruins is made more majestic by a great acacia (rain tree) that grew where the old altar used to be. You can see that they used corals to build the walls of the church as most of the baroque Spanish churches located near the sea.
There's a modern chapel built nearby and you can say your prayers there too and light candles. Parking is free and place was easy to find just by following...
