IF YOU ARE NOT LOCAL, THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE COMING HERE. My boyfriend and I went here to see the sunset, literally, 2 days ago and nobody stopped us or asked for for “entrance fee”. TODAY, there are 3 random guys seating there asking for entrance fee” just for non local people. We Said to him we went there 2 days ago same time to see the sunset at the same time and there was nobody asking for money. His answer was “well, 2 days ago was different”.
Meanwhile, a local couple went in the parking with the motorbike, these guys didn’t stop them to get money out from them. This is literally “discrimination” against non-local people. We said we are not paying and left, this guy turned his back on us and said something in tagalo so we wouldn’t understand what he said….
We decided to go somewhere else just because of the fact that they are now taking the advantage of a situation. This wasn’t happening few days ago or last week, it’s something new happening around the island, not of because of the money. We have been told that this wasn’t happening before by a local diver instructor today, that you could go everywhere with no entrance fee. Entrance fee for what?? You can’t ask money for a PUBLIC BEACH. Most beaches are filthy full of rubbish and plastic. I have just seen tourists taking rubbish out of the sea, no locals at all. If you pay an entrance fee, the least that should be done is an environmental clean of said beach.
For example, my boyfriend nearly stood on a broken glass bottle the other day which could sliced open his foot really bad.
The money they ask for “entrance fee” just looks like it goes directly into their pockets.
I came to this country in 2019 and I left thinking “ I’ll come back here in the future”, now I can’t wait to leave and never...
Read moreIt's time for a badreview .... sorry #bigdissapointment . The picoftheday is nice but are sad about the place - paliton sanctuary. The story:
This place is a huge disappointment 😰. They say you can #snorkel in the #ocean for free (thanks really ) but if you enter the border of the white line where the sanctuary is , you need to pay 50peso . To get to that area is about 40 minutes #swimming. The area itself is also about 50 minutes swimming. I swam back at the sunset and I thought I'm not gonna make it really.
The #wayback is too long. But the main problem is there is NOTHING to see there. First 30 minutes only #seaweed and some #fish. Most of the #corals are #dead. Of course when you enter the sanctuary border you'll see more but it doesn't worth compared to time of swimming..
The sad thing was to see a fishtrap with some fish in it. I wish I could release them but I cannot #dive and I was exhausted after such a long swim ...
Read moreThis place is a dump. I don't mean to sound negative because I'm an advid beach lover, but they charged 20PHP environmental fee and 30PHP for scooter parking. 50PHP isn't crap is what was disappointing is the beach was littered with seaweed and plastic. There was a kid setting a plastic bottle on fire. It was truly disappointing and nowhere near the "Real Boracay's" level. Whoever called it "Little Boracay" needs their head examined. There's nothing Boracay about this place. Hell, even the vendors are working out of a shack. Truly a dump but if you want the experience (which is what I wanted) then by all means, go here, but I wished I was warned ahead of time. Tubod beach (free) and Salagdoong Beach (50PHP) are better beaches than this so called little Boracay. hopefully, the beach has improved since I...
