The guard would ask for your ID, just show it to him then he would let you go in. The place is actually a school too. When you go in, you need to walk further like 10-15mins to reach the bird sanctuary. Anyway, I wasn't able to see so much birds cos I went most of the birds were elsewhere looking for food.

There's no entrance fee for this area. Just inform the guard at the gate that you're going for bird watching thoigh for bigger groups you need to ask permission through a letter to the president of zscmst. :)

Best time to go bird-watching is early morning or late afternoon. Watch migratory birds from the south as early as August and from North on December onwards. Its a great eco-tourism site one must experience!
