Decided to start shopping there after Tesco on Wielicka had shut down.
It is easy to get there, there are many buses that stop by main enterance by the Kamienskiego st. You can also get there from Puszkarska st. where there are only few. All in all the connection is excellent. You can get there from most parts of the city. Because of that you have to expect buses to be crowded during peak shopping hours.
Expect this place to be very crowded. It's in the middle of quite popular mall anyways so that just adds up. Despite that, you probably will not feel this as much as in other places. The store is huuuge! It probably takes up 1/3rd of the mall space. They surely knew and anticipated they'd need this much. I have hardly ever stood in a line to the self service register regardless of the time i went there. I am really impressed considering where the store is located.
You will find basically everything you can find in other large markets. Times three. It is apparent they stock every item in much larger quantities than others. They also put much more on shelves. Makes impression this is artificially inflating the scale of the store. Shelves and aisles are longer and taller to the point you'd not reach the items on the top.
Prices are compareable to the competition so there's not much to say about that.
Even though I do not like huge stores and crowded places, I found this place acceptable. I can shop there without a hassle, layout is standard and simple. It is quite clean or at least when i shop there (your experience may vary) and nobody annoyed me yet.
You will find this place even better if you don't mind crowds and...
Read moreThieves. They tax 8% extra if you pay in Euros. Nothing warns you about this until you see it on the receipt. Then, they run the extra mile in explaining you how you are the stupid one for the mishap. You should have payed in Zloty and all. I could have run the extra mile with them and give them back the bitterness of their own pill. I know my rights as an European consummer. But I realized that it was too much of a time waste for a relatively small sum. However this is pure theft. While I knew there is an extra tax if I pay in Euros, usually it is very low. Under 1%, for example, when I shop at Biedronka. I told them that I want to return the products and pay in Zloty. It wasn't possible, they don't have Euros to give, they only receive Euros. And, anyway, first they said that they don't accept products taken from the frige, because they don't know how long I kept them out of the frige. Now, how do these people take themselves seriously? Do they think clients are fools? You rob me of 14 Zloty, you get one star and one less customer. I hope it...
Read moreGreat choice of products but only two stars for inconvenience for both employees and customers by the cashier desk. Absolutely no problem with personal who was professional and polite but too short line was resulting in piling up products which makes it difficult for the cashier to scan them. No place to put a basket, you need to bend down to the floor to reach it. It takes longer time while customers are almost sitting on each other to hurry things up and make their own pile of stuff. Very little place after scanning so there's another disadvantage for the customers as they have to hurry up and pack everything. I understand making the space so income-bringing as possible but its not 90s any more and customers and personel comfort should...
