The zoo area is very large. We couldn't even get around everything. Africarium is very large, impressive. We were lucky to enter it without a queue (I still don’t understand how it happened). When we left there was a huge line to get in. I liked that there are animals that I had not seen before. I liked that there are machines where you can pay with a card to get a coin with the image of an animal. Unfortunately, many of the machines didn't work when we were there. It is very sad to see bears sleeping and being eaten by flies. For some reason, bears have pools without water. Or so little that we didn't see it. Nutria have very dirty water, although they are very clean animals, washing all the time. Some cages are located so that the animal is not visible at all, or the cage is very far away, or there is very little space, since there are a lot of people in the zoo, even on a working day. The territory itself could be made a little brighter, everything (except for the africarium) looks very simple.

Disclaimer: I don’t want to spoil all fun, so you’ll see just 1/10 of them. This is definitely an incredible place for at least 4h of your day. At the beginning you can buy ticket yourself or go to the pay desk. As expected, winter isn’t the best time to go to zoo, since a lot of whimsy are just not there. However, they did everything to open as many areas as possible. Especially this Africarium is awesome. I’d also suggest following the map not to skip any part of the zoo, as it’s really big! There is also area with domestic animals that you can pet. Moreover, in the zoo you actually can see workers cleaning animals cages and such which makes you understand why the price for the ticket is quite high. I really appreciate their work! To wrap it up, 100% worth coming here and enjoy 4-5h of being amused by different animals/birds/fish.

This is a world class zoo and you can easily spend the entire day roaming around. My 18month old and 10 year old both loved it. The aquarium we even went into twice because my daughter couldnt get enough! The petting zoo is great for the little ones. Bring change: 1zł to buy goat food and 5zł if you want to get engraved medallions. I'm not giving it 5 stars because we went to Karczma u Lwa restaurant and it was disgusting. The food and staff were horrible. Whatever you do make sure you don't eat there. It's a shame a world class zoo allows such a terrible food joint on their premises. The location of the restaurant is awesome- a lion came right up to us and even roared..probably tried to warn us to run for our lives from that restaurant!! 😬

The best zoo in eastern Europe. the africarium, the aquatic species and south american animals would be interesting. rather than having more species of few animals, they maintained several kinds of animals with few sample species of each rather than many species of few animals. the art work is very alluring. the homogeneous walk experience with different flora and fauna is definitely admirable. Over all it takes 5 decent hours for an individual to visit. There are food spots inside and are not costly. The zoo is worthy for half the day. The tip is to strat the day early to avoid rush in the zoo . few Animal watching points are really wonderful and designed with care for better experience while for others it's very and are not enhanced

Disclaimer: we travelled 5 hours to the zoo for the sole reason to see Manatees and it was closed. (otherwise I’d rate it 3/5) So, with the biased view of the zoo being bad because we couldn’t see what we came to see then we weren’t too impressed with the zoo. Especially considering all the glowing reviews left by others. Views of many animals actually weren’t too bad, especially the reptile enclosure was extensive and well maintained. But for the price and when I compare it to other zoos in Europe, then I was expecting more. Long story short; if you’re in Wrocław and have nothing to do then this is a good way to spend your day, but if you’re traveling to Wrocław because of the zoo then it’s a bit disappointing.

This was definitely the most amazing and biggest zoo I ever saw. We took the tram that was practically named Zoo and we were there in less than 20 minutes. The size of this place is bigger than resorts I have been to and I am not kidding. We arrived at 10 AM and left at 2:30 PM, walked non-stop with well over 14000 steps. There were so many species of animals from all over the world, be it on Earth or in the water. Exotic animals and flowers that I didn't even know they existed, I managed to see in this Zoo. We paid 71 złoty per person (where 1 złoty was practically a donation for food for the animals). It was a great place to go, either with your kids or your significant other and spend a fantastic day.
