Praia do Porto Pim — Attraction in Horta

The beach is dirty and contaminated with bacteria. While I was there the beach was closed by police because of biological contamination. It is not surprising because the bay is also visual contaminated with plastic and the water is murky. I was stung by jelly fish while swimming, got skin burn and allergic reaction. The lady from the beach staff helped me and provided first aid. The problem is that the warning sign about jelly fish is at the end of the beach, not at the entrance. Very good shower block. Nice sand and very shallow sloping beach with basically no waves. You can walk along the edge of the land to get to rocky ledges further away from the sandy beach too. We saw some fish while snorkelling but have seen much more in other places so not great.
