Praia do Vau — Attraction in Lagos

Exhilarating walk, first on the cliff tops between stinking older homes and the edges of the cliff. Several families have cultivated these magnificent succulent gardens, including the gargantuan all the way down to the M midst subtle of plants. Eventually one comes to a pad in the cliffs allowing you down to the beach among these ancient rock formations carved out of a sandstone and shell composition over millennia! Praia do Vau is located about a 10-minute drive from Portimão. Although it is smaller than some of the neighbouring beaches, it features impressive cliffside and rock formations. Beautiful beach in a stunning area. Not very crowded compared to the famous beaches in the area of Algarve. We enjoyed the space, cleanliness and the proximity to the city Portimão and not far from Lagos. Ok shallow waters for a relax swim, although the water is very cold early in the season. General tip: look up the tides online and base your visit to the beach. Car can be parked on the parking lot and on the street next to the beach. There are restaurants on the beach and also...
