Views over the beach are wonderful. Be prepared though for the grumpy owner normally I don’t come in busier tourist season but I did & the owner whose customer service is not his forte was even more grumpy. Make sure you have change tried to order a sandwich at 2.30 pm - not possible so only ordered a Coke €2 much grumbling & banging as I only had a €5 note. Quite amusing really but if you want polite top notch service this is not really the place for you. But for views of the beach & sea it is fantastic. Just don’t be offended easily & have change. No table service so u need to queue in the cafe to order. Sells drinks, snacks & ice cream. Toilets here. And warning don’t open the fridge & remove a cold drink - note on it in Portuguese saying so - I understood but if you don’t the owner will not be happy with you at all

I stopped here for a piece of cake and some coffee during my hike. The lady working at the counter spoke English, but she didn’t really wanna talk. Also she didn’t accept card. She only wanted cash. I learned from Portuguese people that the shops that don’t accept card payment all cheat on taxes. So if you are wondering why some places won’t accept to pay with card and say that their machine is broke or whatever then you know what’s going on… Anyways, I ordered a coffee and a piece of cake for a high price of exactly 5 euros. The coffee was really good, but the cake was pretty warm… the good thing is if you get a table, you have a great view! So I would say the high price comes for good view… Choose for yourself if you wanna stop here or not

I usually would never write a negative review for a business especially in Portugal, but I made the mistake of not reading any Google reviews prior. Recently my husband and I stopped in for coffees and pastries, the old grumpy man was SO hostile and being aggressive and for no reason at all, it really bothered me as I have been living in Portugal for 4 months now and have never experienced this level of hostility in my life. We went back again as I thought maybe he just was having a bad day and we had the same experience, so never again! I would love to go frequently as we walk there almost daily and want to support small businesses, but they are too toxic. Plenty of other nice cafes with friendly staff to support instead.
