Mercado Biológico do Príncipe Real, open only on Saturdays, is a weekly celebration of all things organic and fresh. The market is a vibrant tableau of local farmers proudly presenting their bio vegetables and fruits, each stall telling a story of sustainable agriculture and care for the earth. The flower stall is a particular joy, a splash of natural beauty that’s a feast for the senses. Among the market’s many treasures is a remarkable bakery stall, where the aroma of freshly baked bread is irresistible. And the quaint coffee shop nestled next to the market complements the experience, offering a cozy spot to reflect on the neighborhood’s enchanting atmosphere. This market isn’t just a place to shop; it’s a place to connect with the pulse of Lisbon’s community and its dedication to organic living.

Great place to roam around, plenty of fruits and vegetables, but I highly doubt all of the selections are organic, "BIO" is a misleading word for organic(do your own research). This place is mainly for people, who like to show off and get 2 apples, 3 carrots, 100 gms blueberries and 1 tomato and tell people , I always eat organic food. And the rest of the week ,you will see them drinking cheap beer/wine and eating white bread from continent. Old ladies place to make each other jealous, cause some can actually afford it, but some can't, but they do it anyway for the sake of getting praised.

A small, local market that is only open on Saturdays. You can find various local products such as fruits, vegetables, olive oils, and jams. We went around noon, and unfortunately, the mushroom stalls were quite empty. Fruits, vegetables, and especially mushrooms can run out in the morning hours. Therefore, I recommend going early to shop. Also, I wouldn't call it an organic market because some stalls sell non-organic products as well.
