Beautiful view from the 5th floor. Strong wifi and AC. Tiago at reception is very professional and pleasant. See him for any city recommendations or advice. A nice ambassador for the hotel.||Very basic and VERY small rooms. The beds are horrendously uncomfortable and our backs are still in agony more than a week later. We asked to change rooms while we were there but were told that “all beds are the same”. Pillows are also super cheap and paper thin. No tea kettles or coffee machines in the room, no cups (not even paper or plastic cups to have a drink of tap water), no bars of soap to wash your hands (need to use the shower gel), no iron, no face clothes, no Kleenex, no fan in bathroom…Not even a Do Not Disturb sign to place on your door to decline housekeeping. In fairness, none of these items were specifically mentioned to be included at the time of booking, but you would think for the price, and in the year 2022, that they would be a standard in any property that proclaims to be a “hotel”. This place is more like a highway truckers inn or hostel, although even many of those places are better stocked.||Unfortunately, as friendly as Tiago is, I cannot recommend this property. Spend a little bit more money on a real hotel and you will save in the long run from having to buy all the bare necessities yourself at the local mini-mart, and from having to see a chiropractor when...
Read moreWe had such a wonderful experience at this hotel! We stayed here for 4 nights and every bit of it was perfect. The best part was the generosity, hospitality and friendliness from all the staff. You can clearly see that all the guests felt comfortable as they frequently stopped by at the lobby to have friendly chats with the staff.
Also, Tiago and the other staff kindly let us have our food and wine in the dining area where everybody usually have their breakfast. They let us use their microwave, sink, plates, cutlery, wine glasses, basically anything they would usually use for breakfast. They even let us refill our water bottles for free. This helped us a lot because restaurants usually charge €2 for water.
Our rooms were spotless, they also provided us with different sized pillows according to our needs. The exterior of the hotel building seemed fairly old just like all the other buildings in Lisbon, but when you're inside, you feel like you've entered a recently rennovated cosy hotel.
Just to add, the attached photo was taken at around 5am for our early flight. The hotel has a registered taxi company, so the staff requested a taxi and it came right away within a few minutes. It cost us exactly €16 to the airport.
We would love to stay here again just for the welcoming warm staff!...
Read moreGreat location, few minutes walk from Lisbon historic central area. The room is quite small but enough for basic needs. The AC is quiet and works fine. Clean bathroom with good water pressure at the shower. There is a hairdryer available. Daily room service without "pressure" to save the planet by skipping it. There is a minibar fridge stocked with some beverages and chocolate but obviously you'll pay if consume any. The fridge has enough room for your own snacks and beverages, not too much though. There is a safe in the room, perfect for your valuables when away. No kettle or coffee machine in the room. We stayed at the fifth floor with a nice view of Sao Jorge castle. The hotel is uphill from Avenida Liberdade, if you have luggage on wheels, might be a challenge to drag it on cobblestone sidewalks. But the whole Lisbon is going up and down so it's very normal. There are a lot of places to eat within minutes with good food and great prices. There are also two variety stores very close by but they charge quite more than other similar places. There were some small ants in the room, don't leave food exposed. Very friendly staff. Very conveniently they took care of our transfer to the airport in the middle of the night at a very decent price. I would definitely stay again here...
