Praça da Alegria is a small, tranquil park and garden in downtown Lisbon, Portugal just a block up a small incline road from Avenida da Liberdade. The charm of this place is its dominating large stone round pool with bronze fountain spraying water into the pool.
The beautiful garden includes mature trees, greenery, shrubs and flowers, and it seems to have very few visitors, perhaps because it's slightly off the beaten path.
There are several stone benches surounding the fountain area where you can relax and meditate, away from the hustle and bustle of the main roads and squares of Lisbon.
