The water park is perfectly organized. Located 2 km from the train station [Loule] and 4 km from the city of Quarteira. The price for an adult is 32 euros. Time spent: 7 hours. 1) It makes no sense to come early (9:00) and wait in a long queue. Usually at 10:20 (official opening at 10:00) the queue is very short. 2) The cost of the locker is 10 euros (5 will be given back after the key is returned). -)I think this simple-key system should be replaced with magnetic keys. 3) The average cost of food is 9-12 euros per menu (typical one: hamburger, fries and Coca-Cola). There are several restaurants and several cafes in the park. 4) Certain services are paid additionally: photos with animals, photos from Montanha russa, Fish Spa, etc. [!]Most of the animals grew up in the water park, so claims about exploitation are quite illogical. 5) The water park has three different 30-minute shows with animals. Standard schedule: 12:00, 14:30, 16:00. +)Location: behind Montanha russa. 6) The price of drinks is quite high, so I advise you to buy something in advance. 7) Each of the slides has age (in fact - height) and weight restrictions. (!)This info is written at the entrance of a slide. So, you should not complain that "I wasted two hours, and my child was not allowed to slide". Also, there are some restrictions regarding glasses! 8) Control your children, and do not blame the water park employees. Most of problems is the result of the carelessness of parents. - 9) Queues at the water park are long. After lunch, it may take 30-60 minutes in case of popular slides. BUT if you plan your day correctly, you will try every slide. I managed to try all of them, some slides even 2-3 times. 10) The devil is not as scary as it is portrayed. Freefall slide is just 10 seconds of "falling fear". Awesome thing. -) Some slides need to be repaired/checked. My back and me kindly ask the staff to do it. -) You should walk everywhere in rubber clogs because the surface is extremely hot and not watered. Try the SnS' idea of water paths.

Good fun day out. Aquashow has some great rides, slides, and pools, although the wave pool was rather weak and disappointing, as well as having to wait an extraordinarily long amount of time for them to turn the waves on!! There are also Aquashow staff wandering around the grounds with various animals for you to pose with for their photographer to take a picture (which you can buy later for €10 each). They're very clever in blocking you from taking a picture yourself. Animals we saw included snakes, lizards, owls and macaws (parrots). The rides were accompanied by long queues in the morning, and until about 2.30pm, at which time it started to ease off, and the wait time for some of the better rides was about 10-15 minutes! Lunch was fairly good. We had chicken, chips and salad. The Portuguese cut chicken very strangely, so your meat almost looks unidentifiable but it tasted good, so that's what really matters. There are lockers to put your valuables in, but we didn't bother, and most Portuguese don't either. It did feel very safe! Might be advisable to take a picnic, and pitch up a small tent or umbrella in the grounds wherever you make base. Worth visiting if you like water rides!!

We've been coming here with our kids for about 6 years now, so we've picked up some tricks along the way that make our visit more comfortable. Buy your tickets online. As soon as you've entered the park there'll be a line of photographers... try your best to just say no pictures and get past them. You'll have plenty of time later to come back and get a picture if that's what you want. August and weekends are unbelievably packed. If you can book early July, that's the best. Arriving early (9.30) lets you avoid long lines for your first few rides but by 10.40 expect long waits. So don't waste time having your picture taken at the entrance. My kids usually start the day with the popular rides (Mammoth and Roller Coaster) then move to the Swan further down the park as it still has a short line. Lunch options are available, good and inexpensive. Grilled chicken/pork with chips and salad is about 11 euros. If you drove to the park then leaving 15 to 30 minutes before the park closes is essential to avoid a long, long wait to exit the parking lot. Heavily congested at closing time.

Shockingly bad, ruined day, discrimination This was the worst experience in a water park I've ever had. If you have high prescription and poor eye sight you will be discriminated here. And I'm not talking about not being allowed on crazy rides. No, they won't let you in on the ffing swimming pool. Unless you take your glasses off. Then you can't see much anymore. Thank you for ruining my and wife's day. I tried speaking to 7 members of the staff. Each of them didn't help and so called supervisor by the pool area was very rude and had attitude problem. In addition to that there pretty much no customer service anywhere or friendly attitude. They will charge you 5 euro for lockers after you paid for the tickets. The changing rooms are dreadful, toilets have see though holes so everybody can see you doing business. Queues on all decent rides are so bad, the mammoth ride had people queueing up from the middle of the huge staircase. If you have bad eyesight or have any expectations avoid this park like plague.

Adult and 2 kids aged 11 and 9. Absolutely brilliant time. Had to get there early like 9am so you had pick of the best spots so set up shop for the day. Found a nice wee spot in a corner under a tree and one of the water slides. Everyone seems to have had a small beach shelter or umbrella. Bring your own food or just use the facilities. We did both. Small snacks and water followed later by a burger or hotdog. 10euro each that includes chip/drink. Very nice I must say. Regarding the rides we powered through the big rides first. Queues weren't so bad. About 30-40min max. Mostly sheltered but a small umbrella can be handy. You'll just have to go back up and retrieve. We all wore water shoes throughout the day as its handier and the ground gets so hot. We loved the main pool and smaller one which people were able to dive in one end. Have a dip and walk about. Nice. Well worth the money and I thought the young staff did well. Very strict on height restriction so make sure.

Now, this is review of only the water park, without hotel. The park has plenty of water rides to have you occupied for the whole day. Early August the place was absolutely packed with queues 100m long for most popular attractions like rollercoaster or red&yellow slide. 30-40 minute wait time is to be expected. As of August 2019 there was nothing like ”fast pass” anymore - everyone had to wait their time regardless. Most queues are roofed & shaded so you won't burn to crisp waiting. Bear in mind that even though park opens at 10am - the parking and park itself is already packed at 10.20am. Long queues to ticket counter and locker rent counter. Locker rent is 5eur PLUS 5eur deposit (which you get back after returning the keys and the tag). It gets slightly less crowded just an hour before closing, which was 7pm (officially it closes 6pm but staff will wait until last person in queue gets onto the ride). Overall day well spent.
