Praia de Cabanas (Mar) — Attraction in Tavira

The three stars is relative to the other local beaches, this would be a 5* beach anywhere else. The sand is fine and golden, the sea is turquoise, warm and clean. For me, Cacela Velha is a world-class beach only a few miles away and tavira island is another in the other direction. This beach felt more ordinary to me, with long stretches of concessionary sunbeds and people more crowded together, like a mini-Tavira without the restaurants and space. Hier kun je wandelen tot je een ons weegt, letterlijk. En geen door voetstappen ´vervuild´ strand, überhaupt geen vuil eigenlijk... Je kijkt er tot aan het plaatsje Monte Gordo, met gemak en soms zelfs tot aan Isla Canela helemaal in Spanje, vele kilometers verderop. Voor jongeren moet het strand (en het plaatsje Cabanas zelf al helemaal) een compleet drama zijn, want er is hier nauwelijks een redelijke verbinding met je telefoon te onderhouden en zoals u weet sterft een jongere zónder telefoon een langzame maar...

Hermosa playa y alrededores, nos alojamos en Golden Club y pasamos unos días maravillosos para descansar, conectarse con la naturaleza y compartir tiempo de calidad en familia. Todo lo puedes hacer caminando, compramos siempre en el Spar y luego pescado fresco en Ana Paula peixeria en el Mercado de Cabanas frente al rio, a la tarde y noche en la terraza de Quasi con vistas a la costa.
