We had a very good meal here. We ordered grilled fish, seafood, sardines, beer, and wine — all were very fresh and nicely prepared. Portions were okay, and as expected for the Algarve. No complaints about the food at all — it was truly enjoyable.
However, the service left a lot to be desired. The waiter serving us was, frankly, rude and unwelcoming. We were with a child and brought water for him (as many parents do), especially considering it was over 30°C outside. The waiter insisted our child shouldn't drink it and that we should order water from the restaurant — even though we had ordered full meals and drinks for ourselves. It felt unnecessarily harsh.
There were also other moments of unprofessionalism, like when a man with a reservation was told he couldn’t enter until his wife — who was just a few minutes behind — arrived as well. It felt very rigid and unkind.
In summary: excellent food, but poor atmosphere due to the service. Unfortunately, the negative attitude affected the overall experience. In a region full of great restaurants, both food and hospitality matter. This place nailed the first, but...

Warm garlic grilled octopus starter recommended (on the photo) although I could not finish the octopus salad (also pictured) after it, this was maybe the only minus, it did not have a distinct flavor after grilled appetizers. I think the restaurant looks lovely inside and out but the food was not right in terms of freshness. I am guessing but the staff culture to me seems not anywhere near welcoming and kind as witnessed in so many other restaurants.
