Murphys Irish Bar, CABANAS de Tavira — Restaurant in Tavira

We are fans of the Murphy's bar and try to go there quite regularly. We appreciate the quality of their beef: we have has great steak and very decent burgers there before, very happy that we have found our place for that (you cannot get many places with good beef burgers around). However today something went very wrong. Maybe it's bad timing (Sunday afternoon, not during the usual almoco nor jantar hours), maybe the chef's on a holiday, maybe it's the high season coming. We ordered 2 beef burgers that were quite uneatable (although I must honestly admit we ate them as we were starving🤦🏼‍♀️). The quality of the meet was a cheap supermarket level, and it looked and tasted as if it had been prepared before and just heated up. My bun was floaded with ketchup. The bar staff was aparently in the learning process, so it was difficult to get the drinks order right or a check to pay. All in all it was a very dissapointing experience. I'm not a fan of Irish bars in general, usually too noisy for me. But if you want the best full English ever you should definitely visit Myrphys. It's amazing 2 of everything including black pudding and hash brown. Cooked beautifully. Toast and preserves included. The staff are lovely and very friendly. Service was quick. And it cost less than a local cafe further along where it was more expensive for half the portions and a sausage that didn't look cooked . Very comfortable Irish Pub right on the waterfront boardwalk. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, both on a covered patio or outside with umbrellas. Great place for watching sports, and they take requests! Very good food. My hamburger was cooked perfectly and was a big messy affair. Chicken Wing appetizer in a number of flavors was juicy and filling. And their Chicken Caesar Salad was big and loaded. I've heard their breakfasts are terrific also!
