From a very hopeful start where the person at kiosk was so helpful and advised which pass to buy to entering a theme park with very poor customer service!! A lot of the staff were busy having their own conversations! I tried to get the attention of three members of staff working on the zip line to see if my daughter could be checked for her weight before entering a very long queue reluctantly i had to queue up as none of them were listening. After 40 mins in the line i was told she could not go on! It wasn't that busy and someone could've easily helped me weigh her before i stood in the queue for 40mins!
Secondly when it did get busy, which i fully understand and can see overwhelmed workers, the attitude of one particular worker Ansil (he was minding the adults trampoline) was VERY RUDE! We waited in a 15min line to get wrist bands to go on and told the reception worker to give us two different slots as we cannot be in two places at once and he advised me its ok and i can just join the next slot baring in mind I've already lost out on 6mins of a 15 min time slot to play waiting and queuing. When i got to the second trampoline, where ansil was, he was so rude and dismissed me and told me my slot has gone i need to move but it was the waving in my face ‘shooo-ing’ that really aggravated me telling me to go without listening to what i was told by the person who issued me the band. Furthermore the guy who served me was there and also told him that he made the mistake and he was still waving in my face telling me to leave! I was told i can het the next slot but it took another 15mins for the person to even sort it out that i didn't get to go in till the time after wasting another 30 mins of my time!
I get it was busy but that is NO WAY to treat or speak to someone. And the communication error was between colleges and of no fault of my own.
There were also incidents where i was told that my child was too tall to enter yet others who are much taller entered or remained in the trampoline for a further 30 mins after their ‘time slot’ yet i couldn't go in due to a mistake his college made and also told him that it was his fault. Am i not a paying customer like the others and have the right to have the same experience, or do you treat people based on their ethnicity? Because unfortunately that ls the feeling i got from the team upstairs, especially Ansil.
Please bear in mind many tourist visit and it may be their first time so we are unaware of how the trampoline slots work so you need ti be more informative and explain instead of telling people ‘you cant go on go get a band’ without explaining what it means or where to go as i saw many people being treated like that.
There were many team members who were lovely and very accommodating like the bumper cars and the river raft m. Beside that a poor and...
Read moreRecently we had the experience of visiting Doha's Angry Birds World, and honestly, it was overall decent, especially for my daughter who enjoys rides.
There's a decent mix of stuff to do, from the real thrill rides like the Super Slingshot (which, whoa!) and the go-karts, to gentler options like the boat ride and a super cute soft play area that kept our little one entertained for ages. The trampoline zone was a real highlight – all that bouncing definitely burned off some energy! The whole place just felt really lively and colorful, you definitely felt like you'd stepped right into the Angry Birds' world.
Now, a heads-up for anyone planning a visit: the costs can add up. We went on a Monday hoping to snag the "Fun Monday" deal with unlimited rides, which definitely felt like better value, especially since we also grabbed some of the food deals. But even with that, keep in mind that not everything is included in the unlimited pass. Those side games and some other bits and pieces will still cost you extra.
Something else I wish we'd known beforehand is the footwear situation. Apparently, some of the attractions need specific types of shoes, and socks are a must for the trampolines. It wasn't really mentioned when we booked our tickets, so definitely come prepared with the right footwear to avoid any hiccups.
If you've got younger kids, it's also worth checking out the height restrictions. A lot of the more exciting rides, like the ones my older one was desperate to go on, have a minimum height of around 1.4 meters.
My duaghter was a bit bummed she couldn't go on everything, so it's good to know in advance what everyone will be able to ride.
Most Staff were really helpful and friendly,. We were initially expecting to enter at 1.00pm only to be told it's closed for another 3 hours due to a government order. As we passed 2 hours later we noticed It was open .. It wasn't a major issue for us, in hindsight though with children we could have been made aware through the website which would have made life easier.
Overall though, we had a really fun day out at Angry Birds World. Just make sure you factor in the potential extra costs, come prepared with the right shoes and socks, check those height restrictions, and maybe keep your expectations for customer service in check. If you go in knowing all that, you'll likely have...
Read moreI contacted the company in 2022 to enquire about taking some classes as part of a school trip. I have been getting emails since. This year I decided to take 7 classes there (175 kids).
The lady that met us on entry was pleasant. Once inside though we were very much left to our own devices. We got a bit lost trying to find our way outside as it was our first visit.
At the part outside, there were around 2 working rides (sling shot and the boat ride). The other two or three rides were closed for maintenance. Therefore, the queue for the slingshot was big. Much of our time was wasted queuing there.
Inside, there were bumper cars, a vertical ride and a zipline. The zipline took around 8 minutes per person, so most children couldn’t use it. Also, there was confusion with the staff about which schools were having lunch and when, they closed the zipline and sent children away thinking it was their lunch time when it was not.
Therefore, most of the kids that visited only went on the bumper cars, vertical ride (inside), and the boats (outside).
There is a gun that the children enjoyed using to shoot the passing boats, but the security guards stopped them using it - only to shoot the kids with it instead. The children were 9 years old and were bothered by it.
Upstairs, there were trampolines and a bouncy castle, but there was only one person watching both, I’m guessing this was the reason he was telling children to get off the trampolines and go to the bouncy castle instead. He didn’t explain why, so they were very confused about why they had to leave.
We were told that we could stay until 12.10, but when one group of children wanted a last boat ride st 11.55am, it was refused because it would take 8 minutes and would run over our allowed time. I explained that it wouldn’t, but the operator insisted the time was 12, not 12.10. It’s unbelievable that they refuse children this experience because of a few debatable minutes.
I wouldn’t recommend this place for a school trip, there are places at make you feel much more welcome. It was not at all like we expected. For upcoming years, I think we will try...
