Well if I can give -1 I will be happy. This was my first time and last time in this restaurant. Staff unprofessional , manager has no idea what’s happening inside. For some guest they can provide certain meal, but for someone is not possible .You can order soup( and wait for soup 20 minutes ,they will give you fork and knife . And after 10 minutes waiter will come to ask how is soup?I started laughing , and I asked him how he eat soup he said with BREAD. I told him I didn’t even get a spoon, nor a toasted bread as well . Btw people expect to be served exactly same meal how it looks like on menu . So I didn’t received full plate as per standard . Bcoz I know how they serve people in Turkey. I came 2 pm. Asked can I have anything from breakfast menu. Waiter said no! Then I order Menemen and he again said no. That’s only for breakfast. Then when I was leaving I saw guests who arrived after me maybe 30 minutes and they served them all menu I was asking for. And they are finishing their meal and I didn’t even recive mine. Of course that I will feel bad , and underestimated, humiliated at some point. From my side , I will NEVER EVER recommend this restaurant to anyone and I will never come back . Waiters don’t have instructions, they don’t know how to walk on the floor , most of the time they are on the kitchen serving area.
Soup was good.
Update.

Bcoz they want to solve case on the best possible way . And after I accept that I will give them full incident report they never get back to me . What profesional management . Literally now I don’t like even pass by that...
Read moreWhen the meal starts with bad attitude from the staff it had ended before it begins. We were 2 after a long day working we ordered food for probably over 300 QR but with the order we requested a couple of green roasted chilies which is not offered with our meal (like when you ask for some extra lemons) the waiter told us “but that will be for an extra charge is that ok??” So being nice i told her no you just go and tell the chef and he will just send them complementary, she said let me go ask first then i got a bit annoyed and told her fine ask! But if its charged i will go and not eat here …. (That alone should have made her say immediately … sir no pls we dont want you to leave!! ) but she went ahead to ask anyway… 3 minutes later she came back saying “Sorry it will be 10 QR “ that when i knew either she never asked the chef because no chef in their correct mind will ever send the customer that message or she may be asked and that what she was told so either way i knew i am not supposed to eat there and i told her thank you we will leave and apologized to my colleague and we left.. Place like this should seriously reconsider staff training and guidelines other wise they will...
Read moreAs we slowly get back to dining outside, I came across Karafirin (meaning 'black oven' in Turkey) at Doha Festival City. The decor was a mix of farmer's market meets metallic minimalism. The utilisation of light, space and mirrors was well done and with covid regulations in mind. The menu is contemporary Turkish cuisine. Loved the food for its freshness, taste and minimalistic presentation! It makes a world of difference when food is freshly prepared no matter how much time it takes. What caught my eye was how accomodating and efficient the servers were- especially Lori. Even though it was late, she was open to any kind customisation required in the meals and also made sure to keep whatever we required on the table from time to time. A pleasant and warm personality😊 The only imperfections were : a) The forgetfulness - despite placing a reservation, we were not called when the tables were free which made us reach later thinking it was still packed. b) The table- would keep shaking a lot everytime someone moved a dish. Some support has to be placed below to avoid this movement. Nevertheless, thankyou Karafirin for taking us hungry souls in and feeding us good...
