Al Dira a.ka Filipino Souk is still a good place to shop beautiful fabrics, arabic dresses, party gowns, gold, authentic shawarmas, many ethnic food stuff grocery and restaurants, cargo companies, perfumes electronics etc. Some stores sell fake brands and perfumes so be careful. For perfumes, the only one selling the original "youth perfume". In this place, i can assure you that you will still get your money's worth.
On a negative side, it is just old and tired. Roads construction everywhere. The multi level parking lot is dark and scary. Too much people just standing around jaw jacking with friends. I think it needs a full facelife like what they did in...

Read moreSouq Al Dira ....it has a traditional architecture...there are lote of shop inside the souq....the souq familiar with women and men arabic style dresses...there are also western ,indian ,Philippines etc dresses...there are lot of perfume shops inside....the parking area is very limit...but according to a souq area that much park area enough...nowadays the roads are under construction near the souq...so you should face traffic...we expect the roads will be open...
