Avoid at all cost. This is not a 4 star hotel, it is more like a 1 star hotel. If you looking to book this hotel to save Ā£100 or Ā£200 just donāt! The staff here are so rude and have NO customer service whatsoever.
When we arrived the check in assistant was very straight to the point. He did not inform us of anything when I was asking him about the breakfast etc as I am fasting and the procedure he basically told me to read the paper when I was asking him face to face because I have kids and was wandering of the timing and if they have a suhoor. I then proceeded to say well my reservation is for 3 people in a room as Iāll be fasting and Iāll eat at suhoor can I take my kids when they wake up in the breakfast timings. He proceeded to say I had to pay twice when I booked breakfast included. Made no sense to me since I wouldnāt eat twice in the breakfast window and neither would my kids be awake at suhoor.
Secondly I parked right outside hotel infront of the car park. The watchman advised itās a paid parking and to check in. He saw us and also guided us on. After check in we asked the check in assistant to bring our bags as we had an overnight flight we had 2big bags and 2 small bags and said bring everything in the car. They said okay.
We waited for about 20 mins nothing, we called the desk and they are like we donāt know which one is your car. They should have called us before to say they didnāt know not wait till we call them. Then when my husband went down as we had two rooms booked he parked the car and came up the watchman who is also the bellman followed him up to say he need to pay 10 QAR. Are you serious? He couldnāt be bothered to bring our bags which is like now 30-40 mins plus. But could come up to say pay 10 QAR. We literally had no local money we just arrived from the airport and we would run away with something equivalent to Ā£2. The watchman/doorman literally was having an argument saying we have to come down and pay.
Then when our bags arrived we were hot and bothered and the AC wouldnāt work we called almost 2 times before someone came and he then activated the AC from outside he said it was off. Ridiculous if you ask me, all schemes to save money!
Lastly when we finally got to sleep we woke up a hour and half before our fast was going to open to ensure good time to get ready and go where ever we needed too. The water was cold!!! We called the reception 3 times before someone came after 40 mins! And even then no one was apologetic. When o went downstairs and asked to speak to the manger receptionist was so rude, on her phone scrolling and basically rolling her eyes at us and then kept asking why we need the manger. When I asked about the manager she said he would be in later and wouldnāt tell me his name. Weird behaviour!!!!!!
When I met the manager eventually he seemed apologetic but it was not sincere. It felts unsincere and when we later returned to the hotel two times after at AM time when there was literally no one there he just ignored us and pretended to not see us.
No one is welcoming in this hotel and no one is nice, no one actually even smiles here. They all need training on customer service and how to actually behave with customers who pay real money to stay here. I am aware most of their clients are from discover Qatar but I booked via Agoda disgusting behaviour.
