Pro: -fun way to spend a few hours; overall not that pricey, once you paid the entry fee you can go on all the rides as long as you are 140cm tall; slides are great and plenty of loungers to chose from, you can pay for beds and baldachins if you want for 90 ron; beer is good and you can find plenty of food options if you choose to eat there; lot of fun things for kids; ok lockers and showers; there is a struggle in the busy days to find inflatable rings to use for the slides but with a bit of patience you will find some; they are not included in the entry fee and you just need to find some along the slow river; Cons: not a lot of information regarding the way things work upon entry, staff are not very welcoming but they will give you the information you need after asking a few; for some slides only the double ring works and you don’t know that until you are in the Que for them; as expected , on busy days, the carpet to the slides is wet and smells, but that you find everywhere; -the lockers are ok but you have to leave all your belongings( earrings, necklaces, watches) in the lockers before you go on the slides, for the lockers you pay 5 lei+ 15lei guarantee( better not loose that key), the staff are again not too friendly but they don’t bother you much. It’s a fun thing to do when you have kids or you are a student. After that age the magic is somewhat lost. The organisation could be better and the staff could be more approachable. I read a lot of reviews before going. The place is clean, some leaves in the water but there are trees around so it is expected. You have to leave everything in the lockers and you have to tie your hair, even though some don’t adhere to those rules , is what you will do in all other water parks. The place could use a bit of spruce up but its ok. The atmosphere is great. So if you can afford it give it a go. It’s...
Read morePros: For me, there were enough slides to have fun. The aquapark is quite diverse.
Cons: The aquapark is small. The price is not justified; objectively speaking, there really aren't that many slides. Paid lockers, seriously? I would also like to mention the attitude of some of the aquapark staff, who do not treat foreigners very well. I do not understand Romanian, so they have to shout at me for me to understand better. Special praise to those guys who switched to English, which I understand much better. I was also a little offended by the fact that you cannot swim in the river. At the same time, I didn't see any signs saying that swimming was not allowed. I only saw signs saying that jumping was not allowed. And there was an incident. When two young employees approached me and said that I needed a float, I replied that I was just swimming and not bothering anyone, and that I would go on the slides later. They agreed and simply walked away. Then, near the slides, I was stopped twice and told that swimming was not allowed. And this is probably the most significant issue with the aquapark — misinformation. I was upset by an incident involving the "super crafting" slide. At the bottom, it says that single and double float are available for this slide. I stood in a huge line, and then they told me that I couldn't go down it because you need a double float and two people. I explained that it was allowed, it was written on the board. The employee then simply looked down (the sign couldn't be seen from above) and said something in English like: "No, it's not written there and it never was." In the end, they just pushed me onto another slide.
After that, I only rode the slides where you don't need a float. And the best one is the first funnel in the middle of the aquapark. It feels great. In the end, I'm not very happy. I won't be coming back to this aquapark a...
Read moreThe location is decent if your expectations are adequate, the waterslides are few but sufficient. Both me and my wife's bruises match from the slides which makes me question when they were last checked. Water abnormally dirty with organic matter and vegetation. Terrible lifeguards that do not prevent people from hoarding floaties or clustering ladder areas, etc. The music is terrible genre-wise, from EDM and liquid dubstep to itsy bitsy radio music and manele, all in one day and mixed up to "please everyone". Their accent is on quantity, not quality, and this can be seen in the attitude of their staff, bad logistics when it comes to the amount of lifesavers, umbrellas and commodities and terrible 50-70 minutes queue to get in the park or to eat at their "autoserving" area. By the time you reach the serving ladies, the whole menu changes since food runs out quickly, including the modest french fries....
Its a place where families with kids or groups can have fun, but it is unrecommended for couples without kids and without a group because the amount of rude and uneducated people will really stand out if you don't lose yourself in the "its ok, it's romania, it's home" vibe. Would only recommend this place if the sea is too cold or as an experience for the sake of nostalgia if you visited this place as a kid.
Do not, for any reason, expect the staff to be professional. They are mostly seasonal worker kids with little work ethic. I don't hold this against them but against the greedy management that probably doesn't invest in their employees training. Miss "Dascalu Marta" and the miss at the key house could surely use some people skills training. It is abnormal for the staff to be as tired and as rude as they were even from...
