Hotel Delta — Hotel in Constanta Metropolitan Area

For 2 stars it is OK. I've stayed in an apartment - it is is ok - there are two bathrooms in the apartment. There is no option for breakfast or any other kind of food, also no restaurant. The parking is not free and it has a stupid system (you have to go to the reception to open the gate). The wireless is so and so - you can live with it. There is no elevator. The staff is nice but there is room for improvement. The hotel was renovated in 2016 but do not except to much. It is near the beach (100m) but there is not any room with seaview. Aqua Magic is about 700m away and the tele-gondola the same. You can find non-stop shops near the hotel and restaurants. You have air-condition in the rooms but I did not find the remote... Reception staff not suitable for customer facing roles !!! You would think fair enough as only 2 star but we usually stay at Hotel Ovidio and these are completely different leagues in standards. I don't speak Romanian but my wife does. She said the female reception staff were always rude (their faces were like thunder) and it felt as though they were doing you a favour being there. Room was too small to walk past the bed without brushing the TV and the shower head was hung about 4ft high. The bed was fairly comfortable and the room well sound proofed from the noise outside, however the fridge inside the room was noisey enough. We will never stay there again and suggest you don't either. Wifi not strong enough to reach our room on the first floor. I stayed here one night over the last week-end (I knew this hotel from last year, when I spent also a night in June). I think it's a good option to make in Mamaia, if you are looking for a decent place for accommodation, not so expensive as the exclusivist hotels in the North. ||The rooms are of 2 types, standard room is perfect as space (the price was now 120 lei, which means approx. 26 EUR/night; it's possible the price to raise soon, when peak of season).
