Hotel Del Mar — Hotel in Constanta Metropolitan Area

We arrived at the hotel and we were welcomed by a sour person, no one helped us go to the suite (executive). Arrived there, I found a suite, dusty, uncleaned carpet, a dirty bathroom with a sink full of hair (?!?), The wc cover almost fell on the floor as it moved and the minibar did not work. For these issues I contacted the reception, once by phone call and by reception, but nothing worked until the next day when we were back at the reception. Nobody told what was included in the price of the apartment, in no day was filled the coffee, sugar, etc. that we assumed were included. So I paid 7300 lei on 2 carpets and half a liter water for 6 nights. Like other complaints, breakfast of 2 lei with 3 kinds of eggs and 3 kinds of cheese, a big shame for a high level hotel, after 3 days I summed up only for the coffee that is fortunately made at a coffee machine (I'm surprised they invested in it). Still nothing to say, a boon to the location and the building ... and parking, and that half ... on the third day almost hit my car by an idiot who did not see the chains of those yellow stands ... Unfortunately, I felt robbed although by phone (when I confirmed the online booking) I was promised an unforgettable experience ... it was really "unforgettable" ... probably the last time on the Romanian coast in the next 10...

Not impressed… The hotel is gorgeous, close to the beach. Great location. Clean rooms. A nice gym and sauna. Not high season yet, so didn’t get to try the pool. Food was nice. However the customer service was horrible. Except for ONE receptionist, Sofia (who was extremely kind & helpful), the rest of the staff were rude and disrespectful (except the cleaning ladies). I was traveling with my partner who does not speak Romanian. She is a foreigner, which you can tell just by looking at her. I don’t know if that is why the staff was STARING and WHISPERING when we would walk by or sit at our table, but it was very uncomfortable. No one except the receptionists(not all kind and welcoming) spoke English, which is shocking and unacceptable at a 4 star hotel at a tourist resort. Would not recommend for foreigners, chances are you might not be able to communicate with them and might not...

Ups: great location, clean and welcoming hotel, spacious rooms, good breakfast, great pool. We had a suite which has a great view behind its glass wall toward sea. Large enough for our needs, a familly with 2 kids. Special wows for the ladies at the Front Desk who checked us in before time and were so helpfull during stay. Same for both housekeeping ladies which made us feel so confy. Saw few times the hotel manager involving herself all over property's operational, gratiously and proffesional. Downs: pool boy not so experimented in serving guests, offering limited composed drinks. Sometimes food served by the pool is not what was ordered. FB manager came and...
