Kaliningrad Zoopark — Attraction in Центральный район

Went to this zoo last Sunday by Cab. The ticket has very nominal fees. As I entered the zoo, i first took photo of the Map and followed the numbering starting from 1. I suggest the same for everyone who is visiting for the first time as you may skip some locations.

I've been to many zoos in India and abroad but this one was really special. The inhabitants were quite fit, energetic and full of life. Proper arrangement were there for their comfortable stay.

There were sufficient facilities like food outlets, snacks and Bathrooms. Sharing some pointers for the successful excursion :-

Total time Required :- 5-6 hours if you want to enjoy fully with short breaks in between

Price :- Very reasonable for the kind of experience it provides

Safety :- Proper safety norms have been followed by the administration to ensure safety of tourists

Suggestions :- Carry sufficient water and snacks to munch in. Also, have good rest and food before coming as it may be little tiring. Carry as less stuff...

Very beautiful zoo!!! There's good food, ice cream, clean and neat bathrooms, wonderful trees, fountain, bridge and walkways. There's a lot of animals to see and keep you walking all over. It's a whole day plan or the park you would love to go for a walk. Bus stop is convenient. There's no parking, but there's several busses stopping right in front of the entrance. So any bus can take you to the zoo. That's amazing! The restaurant in front of the park connects to the inside green foliage of the park. At this restaurant, there's this beautiful deck you can seat and enjoy the fresh air. It's a perfect place for everyone! I loved it! My favorite animal, my daughter's love, the giraffe. They are right there in front of you and get very close at you. Just beautiful! Also, at the entrance there's a racoons house(it's paradise). I would be a racoon, that's where I would like to live. Der Zoo ist eine schöne Anlage. Mir hat er gut gefallen, als ich das erste Mal nach Russland kam. Wegen seiner Einmaligkeit bekommt er von mir 5 Sterne. Bis 1945 war es der Königsberger (deutsche) Zoo. Ab 1946 spricht man von Kaliningrad. Heute wird ausschließlich russisch gesprochen. Das Personal war mir gegenüber freundlich, höflich und sympathisch. Moderne Häuser, alte Tiergehegen, der sowjetische Zoobereich ist leider gesperrt. Ich bin der Meinung das die Geschichte des Zoo's mit in ein Erhaltungsprogramm eingearbeitet werden sollte. Die Wasserfontäne im Springbrunnenbereich des Zoo's ist bei heißen Tagen ein guter Anblick, bei frischen Aussichten. Es gibt ein Elefantenhaus, Nilpferdhaus, Giraffenbereich, etliche bekannte Tiere. Die Anlage machte auf mich einen gepflegten Eindruck.
