I booked Mansard Riyadh expecting a luxury stay, especially given its reputation, the L’Occitane spa, and the location near top restaurants like Lami Dave, Carbone, and Sadelle’s. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations.
Room service was very poor. It was unresponsive, and even basic requests like a dining table took over 30 minutes — with the excuse being “you’re in another building.” For a 5-star hotel, this level of delay and lack of follow-up is unacceptable.
Communication before check-in was just as frustrating. I tried for a week to contact the hotel about setting up a small arrangement. No one answered my calls until the night before check-in. When guest relations finally reached out, I was quoted an unreasonable amount — over SAR 1,300 — for a simple setup that included a small cake for two, a few balloons, and a flower vase. It felt like an overpriced upsell rather than a thoughtful service.
Misleading food service: I was told I could order from restaurants like Sadelle’s and Carbone to my room. But when I tried, I was told that wasn’t possible. Instead, I was offered a different menu that was supposedly shared with Sadelle’s — but the prices were inflated and inconsistent. When I asked about the difference, the staff gave unclear answers and blamed it on VAT, even though the added amount clearly exceeded 15%.
Room comfort was lacking: I requested a quiet room away from the road and was given a road-facing one — the noise made it hard to sleep. On top of that, the bidet was extremely loud and unpleasant to use. And the room lights were motion sensor-controlled, turning on and off repeatedly during the night. I had to get up several times just to manually switch them off. It made restful sleep impossible.
Facilities were also restricted. Guests only get one hour of access to the pool and wellness area, and any extra time is charged at SAR 250 — not what I expect from a hotel of this standard.
In short, the service lacked professionalism, the communication was weak, the room was uncomfortable, and the whole experience was far from the luxury standard the hotel advertises. I don’t recommend it, and I hope management takes guest...
Read moreI’ve had an unpleasant experience from check in to check out.
The hotel is relatively new but lacking in many aspects of hospitality.
Starting off from the moment our car arrived at the front door of the hotel, no bellboy was present to welcome us or pick up our luggage we had to call for one from inside the lobby.
Before we checked in I asked the receptionist if we could have the complimentary breakfast upstairs in our rooms, she said yes but you would have to ask for it early. Based on what she said I went on and paid for the rooms with the breakfast, only to be surprised the morning after that they don’t offer to have the breakfast sent to our room. If I had the correct information upon checking in I would have opted for a room without breakfast !
The story doesn’t end here, the rooms were surprisingly very small and stuffy and the walls were not soundproof. I have never stayed in a room where I can hear literally anything and everything. The room we stayed in had a connected room next to it. And our neighbors were extremely loud we couldn’t sleep and we heard loud voiced until 2:00am. The next day I informed the receptionist that we couldn’t sleep and he informed me that they would be checking out today so hopefully that meant we can sleep tonight. I asked if they were at full occupancy and he informed me that they were not. So I asked him if they could spare the connecting room next to us. He wrote a note and let us know he will try. Again that night, the room next to us had new guests who were unfortunately as loud as their previous residents.
Honestly worst experience and worst stay. If you are paying almost 2000SR/night the least you can expect is to actually get to...
Read moreI have stayed multiple times at mansard during my business trips in riyadh, i can say im very very satisfied for multiple reasons
The staff are friendly and helpful. The room experience is great, i would suggest not having different sources of lighting that u need to separately turn off, maybe only rely on the lights that u can turn off with the switch located next to the bed The water pressure and temperature are great, wish there was a bath tub The hotel offers alot of facilities like the complementary executive lounge which is quite and great for reading a book and having a light bite The complementary products in the bathroom are better than most hotels, which is nice The person working on the reception was very thoughtful, he knew i needed an extra quite room so he considered that and didnt give me one that’s on the main street side They can pack your breakfast to go, my most favorite thing because im always running late to work, and i love their food and coffee 8.the tv can screen mirror with an iphone, I’ve stayed at hotels that didnt have that i actually think only mansard has this , huge perk The gym opens 24/7 , only downside is that its mixed The location is 10/10
Overall i think mansard is the best hotel I’ve stayed in while visiting Riyadh although im very picky, the experience is well designed and thought of
