It was our first time at Baytoti last night. It was a joint birthday celebration of my son and his Tito Malvin. We went home so full and satisfied that we are now planning to come back and also try their other branches especially the one in Riyadh Boulevard City as suggested by one of the waiters.
The waiters are friendly, patient, and helpful. The one who took our orders guided us in picking the best ones in the menu and also gave us information about the portions considering that we were eight and sharing. We ordered 4 types of soup, Dynamite Shrimp, The Mongolian Beef, Beef Mongolian BBq, Tso Shrimp, Fried Noodles, Fried Rice, water, and Peach iced tea. The taste didn't fail our expectations especially the Tso Shrimp and Mongolian Beef.
The place is beautiful in and out although the space is narrow upstairs. The table we had, although it was intended for a group, was rather small and not enough for all the foods we ordered, so we had to pull one small table to our side to place the rest of our foods.
If there is one serious thing that they need to improve on, it will be the refilling of bottomless drinks. They did not change the glasses at first so we were confused which glass belongs to who. They changed them anyway. The third time we asked for refill, to save them from changing the glasses, and to conserve water as well, we labelled our glasses using Post Its. Luckily, I had one at that time in my bag. What they could do is either to change the glasses each time a customer asks for refill, or use a pitcher to refill the glasses. The latter is more practical and easier to execute.
Overall, Baytoti is a must-visit place especially if you love Chinese cuisine. You will enjoy the food at a very reasonable price. They also offer sushis and we will surely try them on our next visit.
All the best...
Read moreEvery time we visit this place we convince ourselves with a trouble-free visit, but the opposite is very true; worst customer experience EVERY TIME:
You hardly find anyone to serve you. Fewer waiters running here and there trying to accommodate customers.
While waiting for your food, you keep receiving other customers’ orders at your table by mistake in an annoying frequency!
Nightmare starts when you try using “Buy One Get One Free” offer “Entertainer”:
They enforce a ridiculous condition that you have to order a soup, an appetizer, and a drink to claim the offer on main menu items, which is a clear “breach” to the offer terms and conditions which apply to main menu items ONLY!!. Speaking to their area manager, he stated this is their agreement with “Entertainer” and you have to refer to Entertainer’s customer service.
At checkout, they deduct a FIXED 40 SAR per “buy one get one free” voucher, which is another breach to the offer terms that state customer pays the higher item price and lower price, no matter how much, is free of charge!
In conclusion, stay away from this place if you want to enjoy some quality time with no troubles or hassles. Very unprofessional business with poor customer management experience.
To Baytoti management: if you cannot interpret business terms properly due to language or ethical conditions, better go out of such agreements and stop abusing...
Read moreBaytoti is one of those few restaurants in Riyadh that offer two comprehensive menus. A chinese and a japanese. The japanese menus have a wide vareity of sushi options, soups and appetisers. Chinese menu on the other hand have a wide variety of chicken, shrimp, beef and fish curry options. Note that they do not necessarily provide both menus by default but have to ask for one. This could be an issue as we just randomly came across someone having the japanese one that and we did not even know it existed. Now the food. Everything on the menus is prepared with quality. Quality is one things that is consistent across the board. We ordered the deshelled fried shrimps which I think were the best I have ever had at any asian restaurant. The serving was a massive seven shrimp platter. In the mains we ordered the beef in garlic and chilli sauce and a fish tepniyaki. We also ordered Garlic chinese rice. In drinks, my all time favourite go to drink the classic ice tea and a saudi champagne. The fish was amazing. Tender, tangy, and really tasty. The beef could have been better, as it wasn't crispy but really soft. It was a little too much on the sweeter side rather than being chilli.
Overall, a fine dining experience and definitely...
