Excellent beach at la digue with a great scenic view.
Approaching it is a bit difficult. One can not take any vehicle even bicycle there. One had to keep bicycles at grand anse beach, walk to the left and almost the end, take a left turn and then immediate right. One will get a small road. Then a mountain to be climbed to reach petite anse. This small trek is a wonderful experience and not very hard.
After 15 minutes walk and trek in total, one approaches the beautiful petite anse beach.
Difficult to swim since currents are high. One can just experience being in the waters, click photos and experience the nice ambience.
One gets coconut water and lime juice there, which is prohibitively expensive!

We came in by bike form the Main Street in la digue. Parked the bikes near a restaurant were you will see other bikes.
You then find yourself on Grande anse, which is beautiful but particularly strong currents and wave. You then do a little trek. Make sure to follow the white arrows as you may get lost in the woods if you get it wrong. If you get it right. It will take you less than 10 min.
You then arrive at this wonderful beach. It sometimes get hard currents, but mostly we were able to jump in and enjoy some funny waves. The beach bar here is really nice too with some very nice juices.

Read moreWe hopped on our rental bikes and made our way to this side of the island. We ditched the bikes and found another couple heading to the same beach as us. (Made some “insta” friends) A bit of a hike so bring water and don’t forget your camera. As others have mentioned swimming can be dangerous due to currents. The water is clear, the sand is perfect, hardly anyone else around.
