Sheng Siong Supermarket — Attraction in Singapore

Visited Sheng Siong at 154A bt batok west ave 8 yesterday, 23/4/23.

I wish to recognise Ms Sua Ai Ling for her devotion in her work as a frontliner; when she sees that customer is interested in the white corn that is on special price, she would greet customer and highlight to him that white corn special price is last day today and should not miss it. She also go extra miles to carry heavy box of white corns, lift it up for customers to choose another box of white corns not yet opened. I tried carry that box of white corn, oh mind, it is really very heavy and she told me she will assist me instead👍🏻😃

I especially like her hard work, devotion, customer facing (doesn’t mind taking the trouble to help customers) attitude. I also witness that your regular customers address her name, Ai Ling and chatted with her the white corns are all sold out at the supermarket front; this means your regular customers like her too 👍🏻

I hope the management recognise a great staff like Sua Ai Ling as I really think she deserves it.

I was very impressed with the service I got at this store. I have been coming to Singapore for the past 15 years to visit my sister. This is the first time I have experienced a very customer centered service. I had ordered a bulk of items the day before. When I arrived, I informed Mr.Weng Kee who had taken the order the day before. He immediately brought my order to the cashier for settlement. As soon as I paid for it, I had explained that I was waiting for my sister, and had no way of contacting her. He assisted me in contacting my sister and ensured that he carried the bulk order and loaded it in our car. He was mindful that I was with a child and did not even once make me feel like I was an inconvenience. He was very professional,polite and respectful. His actions although in his words " it is my job" was above and beyond. The way he spoke to me, his body language and tone were all customer centered. I was impressed. I hope he goes on to do greater things because he has a higher standard...

I am a regular at this Sheng Siong branch. Noted over time, there is about 2 very rude checkout chinese cashiers at this outlet. Normally, the cashiers in Sheng Siong are helpful. This afternoon, I used the far right end cashier for checkout. I informed the cashier that I would like to pay $10 of the bill via CDC vouchers and the rest in cash. When the items were totalled up and $10 CDC voucher redeemed, I asked the cashier how much balance I should pay in cash. At first she ignored me and on my second prompt, she rudely told me I could read it from the machine myself. When I asked her why she was being rude and unhelpful, she launched into an argument. Can Sheng Siong please educate and train your staff well in customer service. This is uncalled for. I asked a legitimate question and was treated badly. There are many seniors like me who do not need to be subjected to such rude staff. Please...
