Waffl first launched at the now-shuttered Eatbox at Tekka Place, before it moved to its Jurong East outlet. You can expect to find sweet and savoury waffles, as well as waffleburgers with fillings such as tuna and spicy chicken. While the waffles are great, the eatery could do with more innovative flavours and culinary finesse, especially given its remote location.
[What it's good for] • The waffles here are thick, perfectly browned and come with a mild chew from an exemplary proofing process. • Its star product is clearly the Buttermilk Waffl (S$4.90) with a scoop of sea salt toffee nut (S$5) ice cream. • While the ice cream served here isn't made in-house, they come in compelling flavours such as Milo Godzilla and lavender cheese. • For sweet and comforting drinks, go for the Milo Lava Milk Vanilla (S$6) and the iced lychee ginger (S$4.50).
[What is could improve on] • Both the Mashed Tuna Wafflburger (S$9.90) and the Smoked Salmon Wafflburger (S$10.90) lacked creativity. The eatery could have taken the dishes further; for instance, the tuna could have been elevated by the addition of some lemon, while the smoked salmon could have been paired with some capers and a drizzle of something acidic to balance the flavours. • The Spicy Chicken Wafflburger (S$9.90) was a McSpicy adjacent that had unfulfilled potential. The dish could do with some cheese slices and a scrambled egg on top. • All waffleburgers were served with a side of potato chips that lost their crispiness when exposed to air. Furthermore, the same cloying cheese-mayo concoction was drizzled liberally over all the chips, not to mention the five-piece cheesy spicy drumlets (S$6).
[Our quick takes] Is it conducive to conversation? — Yes. Tables were well-spaced, though the bistro can get a little echoey. Is a reservation necessary? — No. How to get there? — It's a 10-minute walk from the nearest bus stop at Block 246 Jurong East Street 24.

Read moreTried Waffls for the first time and left genuinely impressed. There’s personality in the flavours, and thought in the textures.
Let’s start with the waffle — Freshly made, crisp on the outside and soft inside. The game changer for me was when it’s paired with maple syrup. Serious, bila maple syrup tu kena waffle panas, dier macam serap kat waffle tu so every bite rasa moist, sweet, and comforting. Not overly jelak, just nicely balanced.
Now the flavours I tried:
🍫 Nama Chocolate
Deep, bold, and rich, almost like a frozen chocolate truffle. Perfect for dark choc lovers. Not too sweet, which I really appreciate.
🍵 Matcha Strawberry
This was surprisingly harmonious — the slight bitterness of matcha blends well with the sweet-tangy notes of strawberry. Not artificial-tasting at all.
🌾 Horlicks Maltese
Nostalgic! Tastes like childhood, but elevated. Creamy with that malty, biscuity finish. Think Horlicks meets Maltesers.
🍉 Watermelon Soursop
Very refreshing. Watermelon gives that soft, subtle base while the soursop adds a tangy kick. Best for hot weather — light and juicy.
🍇 Grape Yoghurt
This was unique — a frozen yoghurt taste that’s both creamy and slightly fizzy? Almost like Yakult grape flavour but in ice cream form. I kept going back to it.
🍋 Lime Mint
Surprisingly zesty! Like a mojito in gelato form. Bright, cool, and fresh. This one resets your palate — good if you’re having multiple scoops.

✨Overall: Great place to chill, service was warm, and the flavour range is creative without being over-the-top. I love that they cater to both classic and adventurous palates. Will definitely be back especially for that...
Read morehighly unrecommended. We ordered their spicy chicken waffle & their 2 scoop waffle, waited for about 45-50 mind before it finally arrived. (We reached around 4pm). Their spicy chicken was basically the mcspicy patty that you can get at the regular supermarket and their cheesy chips were actually potato chips drizzle with a little nacho cheese. Their belgium chocolate ice cream tasted like Walls ice cream, thankfully their Creme brulee ice cream tasted pretty decent. Despite affordable price point, food and service was rather disappointing.
(Thank you for the reply. Yet, it was definitely not 40mins, it was about 50mins. Definitely understood the part on the lack of staff. Do not appreciate the passive aggressive tone though.)
(Once again, thank you for re-editing your response to explain the situation. Everyone, if you have already noticed the passive aggressiveness, do note that this is the kind of service you will be receiving from the manager. Decided to feedback, in hopes that the cafe would improve. I definitely did not expect the owner to feel this threatened by the review. Unfortunately, as much as i hate to admit it, she did not apologise for the long wait (just to put it out there) as she might have been tied up with the preparation. The part time lady who worked there was extremely amiable and friendly. Visit at your own discretion) - will not be...
