CLARENS GOLF & LEISURE ESTATE — Attraction in Dihlabeng Local Municipality

Surprisingly, one of my best golfing experiences.

Let's be honest, you don't expect a world class golf experience from a local course situated in a small town like Clarens but I am glad I was proven wrong.

Upon arrival, they unloaded our clubs from our car (without being asked) and loaded them into a cart which they then took round and parked at the warm up area. When we were paying inside, both the manager and receptionist spoke to us personally about how our trip was going and proceeded to talk about how we should play the course.

The course was very dry (but that is expected) however the greens were gorgeously maintained and running very true.

The course was forgiving and had a beautiful feel to it with the sun setting between the mountains where the course is situated.

If you want a true local yet all round amazing experience of golf, I cannot recommend...

Wow!!! What can I say, this gholf course is literally picture perfect, the most beautiful scenery EVER! I couldn't help to take so may photos. They are so friendly and the food is amazing, my toastie was so amazing and the chips that came with it.

When we came on arrival there, they took our golf bag and took it by the warm up area while you are paying inside and when you are done, your gholf bag is waiting nicely there for you, and ready to play!

The maintenance on this course is being well kept clean and so many animals and flowers to see.

Beautiful golf course with a very stylish clubhouse that has a view on both the 9 and 18th holes. Almost 360 degrees of mountains and the Lombardi poplar trees which you found everywhere in Clarens.

It's an amazing feeling of tranquility and nature's beauty from the first tee. Very risk and rewarding course. The greens are quite fast and very true.

Staff are very helpful and friendly from the Pro shop to the bar and kitchen staff. Food and beverages are fairly priced.

They took our halfway order at the first tee and the food was ready when we came off after the first 9.

Will definitely be back to play this...
