Beautiful park. Mostly quiet, but it is quite big so if there are noisy people near you just move to a quieter area. Very well maintained. Very very safe. When we were there, cops patrolled the park for added security. Great picnic spot. Please! If you take your dogs with, pick up after them. There are so many bins to dispose of the waste bags there’s really no excuse. There weren’t a lot of dog droppings laying around but there was 1 or 2. The only reason this place lost a star in my books was because there was no toilet paper or soap in the bathrooms. But try and bring your own to avoid this problem. Otherwise a real slice...

It was our first time ever, we didn't know what to expect, we avoid parks in Jhb like the plaque yet here, we felt calm, peaceful even free to walk around and explore. The park is very popular with family groups, couples, content creators and bigger picnic groups. My only hang up was clear evidence of residual litter and the toilets were dirty, I know it's a public toilet in a public park BUT if it is guarded, which it was, and we are expected to pay a fee, then I expect cleaner toilets, at least. My boys would have no problem urinating against a tree BUT we don't allow that, so clean toilets...

This is an extremely well managed park in Groenkloof. It is ideal for family picnics having lots of benches and strategically placed rubbish bins. There are two large tranquil ponds over which the masked weaver birds have built their nests. One pool has magnificent koi fish in it.

The rolling lawns are beautifully manicured. The trees are marked with their botanical names. The park is dog friendly (dog owners should take care of their pets mess).

The park is famous for the variety of protea flowering shrubs

Parking facilities are good. Security...

Pretoria is littered with many public parks but this park stands out as one of the best. It is secluded, located in a suburb, it is well maintained and always has families and people around. A shout out to the city of Pretoria for their services here. Back to the review, the park is a beautiful particular after the rainy season, it has a Brooks, bonds, and shading trees that offer one a place to pass the time away and get reacquainted with their loved ones. As a mark of how good this park is, it's a regular spot for wedding photography.

It's an excellent park... Love the big 🐠🐟 koi pond and waterfall features... I love every thing about this park. However it would have been a 5 Star rating if it was not the dog poo every shade or tree... I realized when I was there that this park is treated like a dog park for those who live close and have pets. I recommend they have those poo bags and whatever they need to scoop it with them n throw in the rubbish bins. Infact there should be a sign saying that... "PLEASE PICKUP AFTER YOUR PET DID NUMBER 2"
