Outdated and overrated.
I took my husband here for his birthday because I’ve heard so much about the place and was really hoping it would be amazing. The restaurant is beautiful and the art is something to wonder at but the food was a major let down. The atmosphere was also not great and a bit snobby.
Let’s start at the beginning. The crocodile starter was good, some pieces were way too oily. The palette cleanser was up next. (Spoiler alert: Seriously could’ve used this at the end of the meal.) The mains were okay. My husband’s steak was better than mine. Meaning his sauce and steak was seasoned and well prepared. My sauce was supposed to be blue cheese, but everything on my plate was under seasoned. It lacked taste and finesse. The steak was sinewy and under what I had ordered. Worst plate of food I’ve had in a VERY long time. We had dessert. The blueberry cheesecake was amazing. The cherry flambé lacked. The ice cream was old and the tastes were unbalanced. My husband got a free piece of cake after we already had dessert, which felt unnecessary. It was horrible. Rather buy a cupcake at Woolies. Our final snack was the meringue you get when leaving- either we were stupid and ate tiny bars of soap they gave us or it was the worst meringues in history.
We did tip well because our waitress was kind. The service did not lack.
Though the customer parking was nice, it was the scene of our final horrible encounter when we got to the car a lady had her hand down a man’s pants feeling him up and kissing like they were about to do it right there on the car. The security guard was there and did nothing. It made the place feel dirty and cheap.
A bad taste was left in our mouths and it wasn’t only from the soap flavoured meringues.
So final take: good service, mediocre food, beautiful restaurant, stuffy atmosphere. Won’t recommend.
Also- just a final note. The table cloth was dirty. The restaurant did not deliver what...
Read moreAn absolute memorial experience. Served by Jannie on of the managers a very good sense of humor. He pays Attention to deal, Prompt to customers needs and pleasant person. He actually knows his customers needs ,he doesn't overly faf over his customers. But made some funny jokes whenever he passed by to make sure we were always assisted. He exceeded our needs beyond our expectations. Also assisted by Amonia,Siyabonga and another waiter who were all very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. From entrance to exit we experienced such excellent customer services.. Kream Brooklyn you are not rated amongst the tops restaurant for nothing. I watched the three batman behing the bar, they enjoyed each others company, they talked in a friendly manner to each other. They also assisted with the different customers drinks and laughed with the waiters and waitresses. There seemed to be such a comaradie amongst all the workers. My mom was assisted to the toilet by Jannie who took her hand as though she was a person of such importance. I said to my family this Jannie is making it difficult for my pocket because his tips keep rising. He and all the staff made us feel welcomed as though they knew us. Please keep up your excellent service.

Read moreWe had the opportunity again to dine at Kream, and while we thoroughly enjoyed the food, I must admit that the service left much to be desired. Despite the initial encounter with a rude waitress named Belinda, the culinary experience at Kream was excellent, earning a solid 5 out of 5 rating.
Let's start with the service. As we arrived, our waitress seemed disinterested and didn't make eye contact when taking our order. Her demeanor was abrupt, which left a negative impression on us from the very beginning. We also noticed how she treated the table next to us and her co-workers too.
Moving on to the highlight of the evening—the food. Kream truly delivered an exceptional dining experience with their delectable cuisine. The menu boasted a variety of options, and each dish we ordered exceeded our expectations. The flavors were well-balanced, the presentation was top-notch, and the quality of ingredients was evident. From starters to mains, and every dish showcased the skill and creativity of the chefs.
The ambiance at Kream was also noteworthy. The restaurant had a modern and elegant design, creating a pleasant atmosphere for a night out.
Despite the initial disappointment with the service, the exceptional food and pleasant ambiance at Kream made up for it. The delicious culinary offerings definitely deserve a 5 out of 5 rating. However, the overall rating is brought down to 4 out of 5 due to the subpar service we experienced.
I would still recommend Kream to those who appreciate exquisite cuisine and are willing to overlook potential...
