I honestly don’t understand how a place like NewsCafe Brooklyn can still operate with such poor service. The moment you walk in, you don’t feel welcomed at all. No one bothers to greet you, and you can sit for ages without anyone attending to your table. It’s as if customers are invisible.

What frustrates me the most is that when you finally get someone’s attention, they act like they’re doing you a favor. The attitude is unprofessional, the service is extremely slow, and there’s no sense of urgency to assist people. For a place that’s supposed to be known for good vibes, it completely fails in giving customers even the basics.

The manager is just there doing nothing,she came and she dispear after she said he will come back with feedback from the kitchen...

I have been to many restaurants and cafés, and I understand that sometimes things get busy, but this was not the case here. It’s simply a lack of care and effort from the staff. Honestly, it’s disappointing and unacceptable.

NewsCafe Brooklyn needs to seriously step up its service because right now it feels like they don’t value their customers at all. I will definitely not be recommending this place to anyone until...

I am absolutely livid about today's dining debacle. Travelling all the way from Pretoria, Montana to Brooklyn, I expected a satisfying meal, but instead, I was met with infuriating incompetence. We arrived around 4:43 p.m., only to be seated by some attendant who promptly disappeared, probably without a care in the world. We had to practically beg another waitress to take our orders, and we were passed off to Jessica as he was changing shifts. Jessica seemed more interested in playing games than serving customers. We waited an excruciating two hours until half-past six for our food, with no explanation or apology in sight. Fed up, we demanded the bill and stormed out, our hunger still raging. And to top it all off, even after I complained to the manager, Jessica didn't have the decency to apologize. This entire ordeal was a complete and utter disgrace. I will never go there again. I think the service was probably the worst experience in my entire life. We firstly waited in a line to get a table which was normal for that to happen, but thereafter, we were received by a waitress who never attended to us once. We ended up talking to a different guy that got us a table afterwards as we were sat at the bar waiting for an open table.

We were assigned a different waiter who took our order without writing it down on paper - so I knew she was never going to assist. she even said she's coming back with pepper for the table which she didnt come back with. Women were being prioritised despite them coming after us.

We arrived at this restaurant and bar at about 15:50 and left at 18:00 with only one drink that we ordered from the bar and paid for it. It think that appalling in my books, and it such a shame because the place has a great vibe and the menu looked fantastic...
