Beautiful no frills local sauna. Note that the jimjilbang floor (level 5) is closed and the main food store too but the sauna and massage are still open. The shower area only offers a soap bar so bring your own cleansing items. Bring cash with you as the snack counter within the sauna area takes cash. The automated vending machines take card payments.
Below documents how to enter and use the facility.
Entering the sauna: Songdo haesupia occupies the whole building and you can identify it from the exterior. It is also very convenient to travel here as there are bus stops right outside the building. Go up the stairs and head to the counter.
Make payment (single adult using only sauna was 9,000won at time of writing) and receive a bracelet. Enter from the gates on the right and take off your shoes before stepping on the platform to the shoe lockers.
Find your shoe locker with the number on your bracelet. Leave your shoes and lock the locker before heading to the lift on the right. Take the lift to your respective floors (women on 4th floor). The lift is also separated by gender (women on the right side).
At the changing area: Find your locker number (same as bracelet number). Take everything off and head to the sauna area. Please wash up (shampoo, body wash, face wash) before entering the sauna pools. Try the water massage that shoots high pressure water from the top! It was amazing. Once done, wash up, towel dry and leave the used towels in the baskets at the changing area. I got a sikhye for 5,000won and it was huge! Tasted ok. There’s no clothing provided by the establishment so wear your own clothes after you’re done.
Going for a massage: Head to level 6 for massage (please wear your own clothes). I did full body massage at 50,000 won (it was cheaper because I paid in cash. Else 55,000 won). I liked the essential oil (lavender+peppermint) she used at the end!
Once done, head back to level 2 reception, take your shoes, wear them outside the platform, then put your bracelet on the counter beside the exit...
Read moreA big spa & bathing area, and a decent selection of saunas (clay, salt, rocks, ice, high oxygen). Downsides were that you have to pay to charge your devices (1000 won for two hours per device), the food is a bit expensive, and the ground is really rock hard so it can be uncomfortable to sleep on, even with two blankets underneath. The gym is usually for members only, and a one-off entry would cost around 14000 won. Massages are around 50000 won for an hour, which is pretty spendy, but I guess you pay for the convenience of getting it without having to leave the sauna area. Other than that, great facilities, good value for money, and above all, the view of the harbour at sunrise...
Read moreNice view from the pool room. You can see the Songdo Bridge, Yeongdo Island, and Jagalchi port. There's a variety of hot and cold pools. It's a naked sauna, no bathing suits. Make sure you take a shower before you get in the pools. It's best if you bring your own shower things, like shampoo, soap, and a washcloth/skin scrubby cloth. If you forget those things, I think you can buy some things there and there's always at least soap for free in the shower area. Bring (1,000won/10 minutes) cash if you want to use the massage chair. You can bring an empty bottle and fill your water, or you can buy it there. Parking is free...
