Very nice and relaxing day out! Facilities were super clean, staff was helpful. Definitely recommend. The only annoying things was EVERYONE carrying their phones around and scrolling TikTok and taking pics in all of the saunas. It took away a lot of the relaxing atmosphere and the staff should tell people to put their phones away. For both privacy and safety reasons as the phones can quite literally explode from the heat. The loud pop music around the pools is also not really in tune with the idea of relaxation and would not fly in any Scandinavian spa.
An overview of the facilities:
There are two areas, the pool area (1st floor and some of the 2nd floor) and the jjimjil area (2nd floor). You can only enter the pool area with a swimsuit, not the jjimjil robe, and vice versa. If you have paid for both, you will need to change to the right outfit before changing facilities. The robe is included in the price. Inside both men's and women's changing rooms there are also saunas and pools. In the pool area there are two fun rubber ring slides. There are also several indoors and outdoors pools, a cave pool, and a steam room. The jjimjil area consists of lots of different dry sauna rooms which you can explore. It was the more relaxing area of the two, with calm music.
The chairs by the pool are all paid for, so there isn't really anywhere to sit in this area apart from the benches by the changing rooms. There are resting rooms in jjimjil area with lots of chairs with screens attached to them where people were laid watching Korean dramas. We found this very odd. There is a community room with tables and chairs and bean bags dotted about as well. In the cave pool there are some free chairs where you can rest away from the crowds.
In terms of food, in the pool area there is a sports bar, which serves drinks including coffee, a juice bar which also serves ice cream and cake and a food hall where you can get soup, noodles etc.
In the jjimjil area there are two restaurants, one more casual than the other, and a snack bar which sells boiled eggs and crisps and ice cream.
There is a bar between both areas which does pizza and chicken. There are vending machines in the changing rooms with basic drinks.
Generally we thought there was a lack of snacky foods available if you don't want to sit down for a proper meal. We ordered pizza in the end, which was actually quite nice, but didnt want to eat it in the dark bar as that was not the vibe we were looking for in the middle of the day, so we took it outside and ate at the tables by the pool, which was nice.
We went on a Saturday at the end of October and it was super quiet in the morning, then got a little bit busier, but not at all as busy as we thought it would be.
Overall we...

I booked my stay through Expedia, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that with a one-night stay booked via Expedia or Hotels.com, admission to Cimer, Wonderbox, and the jjimjilbang (sauna) was included. This is a fantastic deal if you’re planning to enjoy all the amenities Paradise City Hotel has to offer.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and seamless spa and entertainment experience in Korea.

Read moreWent to Cimer for the second time – here’s the honest review.
I’ve been to Cimer twice now. The first time, I was just too busy enjoying everything to really think about the details. But on my second visit, I started noticing the pros and cons more clearly.
First of all, the place is absolutely gorgeous. It gives off this mix of old-money elegance and modern trends, and it’s done really well. From the lighting to the furniture, everything feels stylish and classy — without trying too hard. If you’re into that chill-but-luxury vibe, this place nails it.
You get access to a pool, lounge bar, spa, and traditional Korean jjimjilbang (sauna rooms) all in one. The outdoor pool area especially is stunning at night — total Instagram moment. The sauna zones are themed and visually interesting, perfect if you’re looking to relax or just take cool photos.
But… here’s where it gets a bit frustrating.
It’s crowded. Like, really crowded. I went hoping for a calm, relaxing experience, but it was hard to fully unwind with that many people around. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this might not be it — at least not on weekends or holidays.
Also, the staff in the jjimjilbang area seemed a bit… annoyed? Every time I asked a question, I felt like I was bothering them. It wasn’t the worst experience ever, but it did take away from the otherwise great atmosphere. That kind of energy in a spa setting? Not ideal.
Final thoughts:
Cimer is a beautiful, well-designed space. It’s great for couples, friends, or even solo visitors who want that high-end spa day with a modern twist. But if you’re going there to really relax in peace, try going on a weekday morning.
Will I go again? Probably, yeah. But next time, I’ll make sure to avoid the crowds — and maybe lower my expectations a bit on the...
