STAFF NEEDS MORE PROPER TRAINING!! especially the check in staff and boarding staff. POOR customer service. really bad experience with check in staff manning vietjet counter. i was travelling with 5 month old infant and facing 2x delay already from the airline. with no courtesy whatsoever having to wait for delay and with an infant, staff make us having to move items in our check in baggage with 3kg overweight to our main luggage; we do this while holding a baby. no help offered. not even the courtesy to let the check in luggage in, coz obviously with a baby you HAVE to carry extra. riddiculously, after we finished packing, they MOVE the check in line from E to F. and we have to carry these luggage over to the new line. what a mess. no courtesy, no empathy whatsoever. and this is while we have to suffer more than 5 hours delay from the airline!!! the AUDACITY! while they gave us form of compensation to fill, this isnt appeasing enough and lack of courtesy in our situation is appaling. unacceptable. even one of the staff told us bluntly to MOVE QUICKLY!! idk are they even human being??? you should train more and choose better and HELPFUL staff. idk how the training went but this is catastrophic. other staff from immigration etc were nice and accomodating, as they should with priority passenger like us. before boarding we were told they dont have bassinet for the baby, and give us 3 seats in row instead of 2. and guess what the magic is, we are given 2 seats on the very back of the airplane, next to toilet with loud flushing noise!!?? and it was only 2 seat no 3rd seat. shame on you guys really. is this an international airport? or some rural airport with village people as your staff???? how do you even train???? shameful for an international airport in a good country like korea.
boarding staff was really clueless as well. after we gave our stroller for them to handle, none of the 3 staff asked or direct us to boarding first as priority. i understand they are busy but, baby is crying and not even a suggestion or instruction on where to wait as a priority; this is after the boarding is announced. i have to ask and tell them im with baby and then directed to priority line. while they knew before from the baby we carry and stroller we gave. almost feel like its rude, but this lack of care and empathy among the staff can only suggest lack of training or poor recruitment. if i had not ask we will wait like the others and they just forget about us. not a very accomodative experience overall. at least with the delay we shouldve getting better care/treatment but it was so crude and overbearing. do better. this is shameful for the airport and the...
Read moreOn our trip back to Thailand we had a chance to layover in Seoul for 10 hours. We were planning to do our self-guided tour this time since we had free transit tour with the airport last time we visited. Little that we know how bad workers here at these airports throughout starting from staff, TSA and even informaiton staff. We got lost in airport asking how to go transit. I had done this in Japan. The difference is like night and day. Japanses people despite limited English communication skill took me all the way from information desk to the train ticket booth at the basement level. People in Korea keeps being rude and push us away. One of the staff at the counter said taking train but don't tell us where is the terminal and where it stops. We end up in terminal 2 and the information center hold us the passport and ask to be escroted like we are trying to sneak into their country. First of all, if we are trying to get in your country we are not going to go to information booth. I am holding American passport. I don't need to be in your country. You should be happy I visit your country because I rather be in Japan. Needless to say we wasted 5 hours transit in airport. The worse experience I had everywhere around the world. If you are not welcoming tourist don't try to promote it. Not just staff, people in airport are so rude too. We were standing reading the sign. This lady just cut in front of us without acknowledge that she cut in our personal space and we were there. It is lack of decency and manner and it is not one incident.
Overall, the lack of service mind and bad experience with people we won't want to visit Korea again. There are other countries in Asia that you can get much better services either...
Read moreThis was the crown jewel of airports. Parked in off peak season in long term. Shuttles not operating called for help, no answer, sky train out of business for years apparently and they are so dumb to make you carry all your bags up the stairs and the sign is posted at the top to say it's closed indefinitely not the bottom. Zero common sense. Heavy rain arriving to terminal soaking wet. Security randomly picking and choosing what devices and phones need a battery inspection. It's on the Korean airport site but nowhere else. So be prepared to have your electronics taken away at random. No posted updates anywhere on entire food court is closed meaning a long walk. That one has two self pays for the entire 400 people in line. No food no beverages just a CU with a line 50 people deep again OFF season. Bathrooms leaking water on the floor, and add to it their awful IT with apps for high speed security entry that are rated 1 star for a reason, they don't work. An entire high speed dedicated line with no one in it and staff sitting around because even Koreans can't get it to work. Train to parking doesn't work and hasn't in years, half the restaurants closed those left are crap overpriced sloppy noodles or $37 burgers. Airport lounges all over capacity. Rude staff. This airport WA so great 10 years ago and today it's an absolute disaster on all front you all should be ashamed of yourselves. Quit your jobs and let someone else do it or do better, absolutely pathetic excuse...
