Jeju Island | The end of time is the ocean.🏄‍

One of the most popular and beautiful beaches in Jeju Island, known for its white sand, clear turquoise waters, and stunning views of Biyangdo Island in the distance. The beach is located on the western side of the island, near Hallim Park, making it easy to combine a beach day with a visit to nearby attractions. Before going to Hyeopjae Beach, it's helpful to know the following: - The beach is shallow and calm, making it ideal for families with children or those looking for a relaxing swim. It’s also good for wading and playing in the water. - The sand is soft and perfect for beach walks, while the surrounding volcanic rocks add to the scenic beauty of the area. - There are convenient facilities like showers, restrooms, and changing rooms, along with nearby cafes and restaurants offering local Jeju food and refreshments. - During peak season (summer months), the beach can get quite busy, so arriving early is recommended to secure a good spot. - The sunsets at Hyeopjae Beach are especially beautiful, making it a great spot to relax in the evening. - It’s also possible to rent beach gear like umbrellas and chairs during the warmer months. - The area is easily accessible by public transportation or car, with parking available near the beach. Hyeopjae Beach is a great spot for those looking to enjoy Jeju’s natural beauty, whether for swimming, sunbathing, or just taking in the coastal views.

* Note: if you're driving in Jeju, you should download the Naver maps that has english navigations guidance available; google maps does not provide navigation in Korea. If you require driving tips/guide in jeju, go to my profile and look for my review for lotte rent a car auto house. * 👍: -There is many parking lots right infront of the beach and beside the shop houses. It is paid parking though. -You can walk along the coast and the shops to the black sand area and that's about most of the attraction you'll see at Hyeopjae beach. -There are many convenience stores near the beach and also restaurants. 👎: -There are toilets at the beach but their condition is horrendous, from the stench inside, it would seem like they're almost not or hardly maintained at all.

Hyeopjae Beach: Jeju's Turquoise Paradise Hyeopjae Beach, located on Jeju Island's western coast, is a captivating stretch of coastline renowned for its pristine white sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and picturesque scenery. This idyllic beach offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, attracting visitors with its natural beauty and serene atmosphere. The beach's soft, powdery sand invites leisurely strolls and sunbathing. The calm, shallow waters are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and other water activities. Children can safely splash around in the gentle waves, while adults can relax and soak up the sun. One of the highlights of Hyeopjae Beach is the stunning view of Biyangdo Island, a volcanic islet that rises dramatically from the sea. The island's silhouette against the backdrop of the setting sun creates a magical spectacle, making it a popular spot for photography and romance. The beach is also surrounded by lush greenery, including pine trees that provide shade and a refreshing aroma. There are several cafes and restaurants along the beach, offering delicious local cuisine and refreshing drinks with a view. While Hyeopjae Beach is a popular destination, it can get crowded during peak seasons, especially on weekends and holidays. However, the beach is long enough to accommodate large crowds, so you can always find a quiet spot to relax. Despite its popularity, Hyeopjae Beach retains its natural charm and unspoiled beauty. Its pristine sand, clear waters, and picturesque scenery make it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a peaceful and relaxing beach experience on...

Hyeopjae is one of the best all-around beaches in Jeju! We go mostly because it has amazing sunset views (especially because of Biyangdo island across the way). Yes, it is very crowded during the daytime in the summer and parking can be a challenge (2 official parking lots and then free street parking) but if you come in the evening for the sunset, it will have cleared out a lot. It is a very convenient beach and very family friendly - tons of businesses around within walking distance (food, beverage, souvenir shops, recreation, etc.) and very adult-friendly as well (bars, noraebang, restaurants, recreation).

There are showers and some businesses selling hot shower services. There's a nice big bathroom and a wash-off area as well.

It's a great beach to hang out with your friends - there's plenty of space and the sunset is beautiful. Everyone goes out and buys some food from the restaurants and we have a picnic!

The only thing is that the swimming here will be extremely limited. In the summer, they have a very specifically delineated area you can swim in where the deepest depth is less than 1.5 m/4 feet. The lifeguards watch you like a hawk. But that makes it kid-friendly! Additionally they start herding you out of the water around 6:30 PM and fully require everyone to vacate the waters before 8 PM. So if you're an adult, just be aware you'll only be able to splash around...
