One of the most popular and beautiful beaches in Jeju Island, known for its white sand, clear turquoise waters, and stunning views of Biyangdo Island in the distance. The beach is located on the western side of the island, near Hallim Park, making it easy to combine a beach day with a visit to nearby attractions. Before going to Hyeopjae Beach, it's helpful to know the following: - The beach is shallow and calm, making it ideal for families with children or those looking for a relaxing swim. It’s also good for wading and playing in the water. - The sand is soft and perfect for beach walks, while the surrounding volcanic rocks add to the scenic beauty of the area. - There are convenient facilities like showers, restrooms, and changing rooms, along with nearby cafes and restaurants offering local Jeju food and refreshments. - During peak season (summer months), the beach can get quite busy, so arriving early is recommended to secure a good spot. - The sunsets at Hyeopjae Beach are especially beautiful, making it a great spot to relax in the evening. - It’s also possible to rent beach gear like umbrellas and chairs during the warmer months. - The area is easily accessible by public transportation or car, with parking available near the beach. Hyeopjae Beach is a great spot for those looking to enjoy Jeju’s natural beauty, whether for swimming, sunbathing, or just taking in the coastal views.

* Note: if you're driving in Jeju, you should download the Naver maps that has english navigations guidance available; google maps does not provide navigation in Korea. If you require driving tips/guide in jeju, go to my profile and look for my review for lotte rent a car auto house. * 👍: -There is many parking lots right infront of the beach and beside the shop houses. It is paid parking though. -You can walk along the coast and the shops to the black sand area and that's about most of the attraction you'll see at Hyeopjae beach. -There are many convenience stores near the beach and also restaurants. 👎: -There are toilets at the beach but their condition is horrendous, from the stench inside, it would seem like they're almost not or hardly maintained at all.

Romantic and peculiar Hyeopjae Beach, visited in February, was a serene and captivating coastal gem despite the cooler weather. The expansive shoreline, adorned with white sand and crystal-clear waters, retained its natural beauty even during the quieter winter season. The surrounding scenery, including nearby Hallasan Mountain, added a picturesque backdrop to the beach. While the weather limited traditional beach activities, the tranquil atmosphere allowed for peaceful walks along the shore, taking in the beauty of the coastline. Hyeopjae Beach in February offered a serene escape, showcasing Jeju's natural charm and providing a peaceful retreat amidst the serene coastal vistas. Magic Jeju!

How beautiful scenery and colorful sea in Jeju. My elder son has discovered a school of fish that was swimming peacefully and he tried to catch them up with a neat that he brought it from home. I want to curve this scene because I don't push him to study for good scores on the test at school.I let him to find what he wants to be ... yes it's hard to live in this ideal world with real life in Korea though. Only i can do is to love him as he is not high standards of others. Long times later, don't forget my son, when you grow up if you see these things, and you have your own kids you know what love is.

Please note that I live in Costa Rica and am blessed with amazing reefs steps from my house, when I say I was disappointed with the snoring here BUT I loved the rest of it. Snorkeling equipment, super cheap to rent as was the umbrella - all day for about $20 with a mat over the sand to lay on. Plenty of lunch eateries in the area if you don't feel like packing a picnic. The best part is the water! Very clear! Can easily see yourself while swimming, but it's a small beach and can get a little crowded. There were some surf classes that would at times bump into swimmers.
